Elaine is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Mount Prospect and brings a deep love for math and education to the role. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as an M.B.A. Her professional background spans years in IT across the education and telecom industries, and she also taught graduate students before transitioning into early childhood education.
Elaine is passionate about making math fun and accessible for students of all ages. She loves that Mathnasium gives math the spotlight and looks forward to connecting with students and families in a meaningful way.

Kashyap is studying Computer Science at Harper College and has been with Mathnasium for over a year. He brings strong technical and mathematical skills, with a particular interest in coding and problem-solving strategies.
His calm, thoughtful approach helps students of all levels feel supported and encouraged. Passionate about both math and education, Kashyap is committed to helping students develop lasting skills and confidence.
Gerry holds a B.S. in Quantitative Methods (Statistics) from the University of Illinois Chicago and has a professional background in actuarial science and IT. Over a 30+ year career, he rose to executive roles such as Vice President of Application Development and Director of Business Continuity.
After retiring in 2021, Gerry chose to return to his first love, math, by tutoring students at Mathnasium. He enjoys helping the next generation grow their skills and is grateful for the opportunity to give back.

High School education. I just graduated from Prospect High School and am planning on attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for mechanical engineering.

I love teaching the fundamentals because it is essential for the rest of math.
How do you make learning math fun for students?
I ask them questions that make them think and don’t just give them an easy pathway to the answer.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
