Tony graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in Finance and began his career in the financial services industry as a mortgage banker. In 2014, he opened Mathnasium in Mt. Pleasant and has since supported hundreds of students and families in their math journeys.
With a lifelong passion for working with youth—from coaching sports to teaching golf—Tony believes that math is more than preparing for the next test; it’s about learning to think critically. He’s a proud parent of three boys and finds fulfillment in building students’ confidence through real accomplishment and number sense.
Edward is a Charleston native and graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Physics. A former student of Buist Academy and Bishop England High School, Edward has deep roots in the local community.
As Director of Education at Mathnasium in Mt. Pleasant and Summerville, Edward brings a passion for helping students truly understand and enjoy math. He is committed to making a lasting impact by helping kids build skills and a genuine love for learning.
Lara is an honors student at the College of Charleston, double-majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. With plans to design educational software after graduation, she’s already applying her passion by leading summer programming and tech classes for elementary and middle school students.
Since joining Mathnasium in 2016, Lara has enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm for math with students of all ages. Her goal is to make complex concepts feel approachable and exciting for every learner she supports.
Corday currently teaches 5th grade at Belle Hall Elementary and brings over 20 years of teaching experience in Charleston County to the Mathnasium team. She holds a Master’s Degree from the College of Charleston and was recently named Charleston County Teacher of the Year.
Corday joined Mathnasium in the summer of 2016 and has a passion for helping students feel confident and successful in math. Her experience and dedication make her an incredible asset to the center and to every student she teaches.
Emma is a student at the College of Charleston majoring in Biology. She will soon begin her nursing degree at MUSC, where she hopes to continue her journey in healthcare and education.
Emma has been part of the Mathnasium team for two years and excels in tutoring students across all math levels. She enjoys making math understandable and empowering for every student, and she brings patience and positivity to every session.
