Specially Trained and Caring Team
Gabe E.
Center Director
Gabe started with Mathnasium in 2019 as an Instructor at South Escondido while completing his degree. He later became Lead Instructor and Assistant Center Director before joining Mathnasium of Murrieta. Through this journey, he discovered a new love for math, realizing that Mathnasium’s strategies finally solved the “math mysteries” he had as a kid.
Gabe earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from CSU San Marcos. Since moving to Murrieta in 2024, he has loved helping students build confidence and discover how fun math can be.
Alex B.
Assistant Center Director
Alex studied Business Administration at San Francisco State University. Alex has always had a love for problem solving, so he took that passion and entered the behavioral and mental health field. He currently also works as a behavioral health technician at a group home for teen boys. It was there that he discovered an ability to tutor others while they did schoolwork. Alex believes that math, like so many other things in life, can be learned and mastered by anyone as long as the right attitudes are fostered. Alex enjoys spending his free time with his family as well as reading about and listening to debates of theistic philosophy. He also likes to go to concerts and sporting events, and aspires to work with a professional team someday!
Jessica L.
Lead Instructor
Jessica first found her passion for tutoring math when she started college and worked as a tutor for MSJC. She's held various tutoring positions since then where she's gotten to work with students of all ages and levels, each of them igniting her passion more. She loves supporting students through the ups and downs of the learning process while helping them gain confidence in their own abilities.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from UCR and she hopes to carry what she's learned from her students and from being an instructor into a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or a career in teaching! Outside of Mathnasium, she loves to read books, bake, and play the piano. She loves learning new, fun and calming hobbies!
Sean U.
Lead Instructor
Sean is completing his Associate's degree in General Biology at MSJC and plans to transfer to Cal State San Marcos to pursue a Bachelor's in Biology. He hopes to become a biology teacher, but his passion for math has remained strong throughout his education. Sean was a member of his middle school’s Mathletes club and still enjoys the logic and structure of math.
Outside of Mathnasium, Sean enjoys drawing, hiking, cooking, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends. He loves helping students approach math with curiosity and confidence.
Whether they would like to attend sessions in-center or online, students can take 3 easy steps to enroll at Mathnasium.

At the heart of everything we do is the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines diagnostic assessments, personalized learning plans, and interactive instruction to promote math mastery.

If your student shows the potential to go further, our specially trained tutors can help them master the foundational skills they need, then guide them toward enrichment-level thinking at a pace that feels right for them.
The diagnostic assessment allows us to understand exactly where your student is in their math journey, including their current strengths, areas ready for deeper exploration, and enrichment goals.
We use these insights to create a personalized learning plan that provides the right level of challenge from day one, so students feel motivated and appropriately stretched from the very first session.
