Anthony Ramirez

Anthony's commitment to helping others goes hand-in-hand with his academic pursuits. As a Computer Science student at UNC Charlotte, he seamlessly combines theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving skills. Beyond excelling in his studies, Anthony has amassed several years of tutoring experience, catering to a diverse range of individuals from elementary to college levels. His approachable demeanor and knack for adapting teaching methods to suit each learner's needs have made him a trusted guide for family members and friends alike. Whether simplifying concepts for a younger sibling or delving into advanced coursework with a college peer, Anthony's ability to convey complex ideas with clarity shines through. Anthony looks forward to creating a supportive atmosphere, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for all students.

McKenzie Peters

McKenzie thoroughly enjoys helping students discover their passion for mathematics! She is currently a senior at Providence Day School and has filled her high school years being involved in the Honor Council, Asset Management Board, and both the Spanish and Chinese programs. She looks forward to attending college in the fall, where she plans to major in Business. McKenzie has been part of our team for over a year and has loved watching the students grow as mathematicians and as people. Her main goal is to always bring a positive attitude to the center, and she is confident that every student can reach their goals while having fun!

Tanisha Jones

Tanisha has been freelance-tutoring since 2015. She completed her degree in Clinical Psychology with Troy University in 2017 and took a hiatus to focus on her career. However, she noticed a high-demand in the need to assist parents and students during COVID in 2020 and delve back in! Tanisha joined Mathnasium in 2021. “I love the company culture here and how we make the curriculum fun and personalized for each student”. Outside of employment with Mathnasium, Tanisha is a Registered Behavior Technician specializing in crisis intervention and working with children diagnosed with ASD. In her free time, Tanisha enjoys outdoor activities such as rollerblading, rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
