Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Faith

Lead Instructor

Faith discovered her love for math during her junior year of high school while taking Calculus I. This passion led her to pursue a mathematics degree at Boise State University. She has experience teaching math concepts to preschoolers and has been involved in choir, performing in Washington and Florida.

Outside of Mathnasium, Faith enjoys going to the gym, drawing, and caring for her six pets—two dogs, two cats, and two chickens. She finds joy in witnessing students gain confidence in their math abilities.

Bailey

Instructor

Bailey holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in IT Management from Babson College. She has taught Math 1 and Math 2 at Caldwell High School and completed an AmeriCorps year tutoring in a Boston public K-8 school.

Her academic background includes advanced math courses such as Calculus 3 and Statistics. Bailey is also a Girl Scouts Gold Award recipient and has been involved in FIRST Robotics and Opera Idaho. She enjoys singing karaoke and is an avid reader, having read 145 books last year.

Ashlyn

Instructor

Ashlyn is a junior at Northwest Nazarene University, majoring in Math Secondary Education. She has completed up to Calculus III and particularly enjoyed College Algebra and Calculus I. Ashlyn is actively involved in campus life, serving as the Student Organizations Coordinator and participating in the Swing Dance Club and Wind Ensemble.

In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like running, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking, as well as reading and playing musical instruments, including the flute, piccolo, bass, piano, and ukulele.

Dan Hintz

Regional Director / Part Owner

Dan has always had a passion for helping people achieve their potential and a calling to teach math. After high school, he served 22 years in the US Air Force in many countries, leading thousands of men and women and managing a wide range of logistics programs, including the US President’s Air Force One fleet communications requirements. He retired to spend more time with his wife and 6 children and to begin a lifelong dream of teaching math. He was voted Teacher of the Year by his high school students and earned 100% top ratings as a private tutor. Meanwhile, he was searching for why math seemed so easy to people in other countries but was such a challenge to many Americans. He found the answer at Mathnasium and immediately joined in helping all students gain a true number sense and life-long confidence in math. He has taught, tutored and coached thousands of youth all his adult life. Dan and his team are committed to helping students grow their math skill, giving them the confidence to be or do whatever they want in life!
