Danna Seyam

Danna Seyam

Owner
Danna graduated with honors from Rutgers Business School with her bachelor's in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and worked in Corperate America for 10 years. She started off as an Auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and continued her career in accounting in the banking industry at Barclay's and CIT. While working as a CPA, Danna always felt like there was something missing. She wanted more than helping the large companies, and realized what it was one day while volunteering with Barclays reading to kindergartners in the Bronx. As the kids sang a thank you song to the volunteers, Danna realized that this is what was missing in her life, empowering young minds to become our future. She always had a desire to become a teacher. After that experience with the kindergartners her passion to help kids was re-ignited. That passion along with her business background inspired her to open up a Mathnasium. Mathnasium's commitment to teaching kid's math in a way that makes sense and Danna's love of math was the perfect fit. She believes that helping a child become more confident in math not only helps them get better grades, but truly makes them a more confident person overall giving them the opportunity for bigger dreams and the conviction that they will be able to achieve them.

Azri Rehman

Center Director

Azri graduated from the honors program at The College of New Jersey with a degree in Philosophy and minors in Chemistry and Biology. He has spent more than 18 years in private education and is known for his relentless passion towards helping students. Azri has written books on hypothesis testing, logarithms, and organic chemistry, each designed to break down complex concepts into accessible lessons. He is currently working on a book for students preparing for the SAT, focusing on strategies to maximize their scores. Azri’s dedication extends beyond academics, as he takes pride in mentoring students and inspiring them to reach their full potential both in and outside the classroom.

Chris Gill

Assistant Director of Education

Chris graduated from Juniata College with a degree in Physics. He has taken a variety of math-based courses for his degree including Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Methods, and Physics. While at school he tutored many students and friends who struggled with Physics and Math, gaining a passion for helping others understand topics which intimidate or confuse them. Chris plans to share his understanding of math with a younger audience and show the many advantages of becoming an expert in mathematics.

Shari Buchanan

Paul Selikson

Instructor
Paul Selikson is a New Jersey state certified Math teacher. He has taught for 15 years, first for 11 years in a public school and then for four years in a private school. Before teaching, Paul worked for years as a computer scientist and a project leader in industry. He has a BS degree with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from Montclair State University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. At MSU, Paul studied Calculus, Probability, Statistics, Differential Equations, Linear and Abstract Algebra, and College Geometry, among other classes. He has taught middle school math (5th to 8th) and high school math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calc). He has also taught Chemistry and Physics. Paul enjoys teaching and tutoring students and hopes to improve the mathematical skills of the students at Mathnasium.

Luke Wimmer

Lead Instructor
Luke attended Anderson University for Engineering. He has taken Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, and Physics. He has been working consistently in various forms of teaching, tutoring, and childcare for the last five years, having worked as a substitute teacher, teacher's aide, and math and science tutor. He loves teaching math and has a particular passion for helping children find the easiest methods that connect with them the most.
