Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Shari Buchanan

Center Director

Shari has been an instructor at our center for several years and knows our students and curriculum inside and out. She is deeply passionate about helping students thrive, fostering their confidence, and making learning fun. Shari holds a degree in Mathematics from County College of Morris, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude after completing rigorous courses such as Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, and Physics. As a mother of two young children who also attend our center, she relates closely to both students and parents, understanding the importance of investing in a child’s future. Beyond teaching, Shari is a Professional Organizer, bringing exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to her work. She strives to make Mathnasium a welcoming and supportive environment for learners of all ages. Committed to growth, she embraces lifelong learning—always seeking to improve as an educator and teammate.

Chris Gill

Assistant Director of Education

Chris graduated from Juniata College with a degree in Physics. He has taken a variety of math-based courses for his degree including Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Methods, and Physics. While at school he tutored many students and friends who struggled with Physics and Math, gaining a passion for helping others understand topics which intimidate or confuse them. Chris plans to share his understanding of math with a younger audience and show the many advantages of becoming an expert in mathematics.
