James is an experienced academic program leader dedicated to student success. He has worked with diverse communities, previously leading enrichment and learning activities with the YMCA in San Francisco.
Passionate about transforming lives through education, James is committed to helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. He looks forward to meeting new families and guiding students on their math learning journey.
Jason Tong is an experienced educator who has taught Math, Science, English, History, and Computer Science to students of all levels, from elementary to university. Previously, he served as the lead math and science teacher at Mission Dolores Academy in San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Cruz and has worked as a protein purification chemist.
Jason is dedicated to helping future leaders succeed. He looks forward to connecting with Mathnasium families and guiding students toward their academic goals.
Divyata has a Masters degree in electrical engineering and is a registered patent agent. After working at a startup specializing in IC design and power management, she went on to focus on intellectual property and has worked at IP firms in various roles of IP licensing and patent portfolio management, and for the past 8 years has worked at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).
Education has always been an important part of Divyata's life — her parents were both educators in India. She developed a renewed passion for education after volunteering at her two boys' elementary school. She believes that math is a fundamental skill and is passionate about helping kids reach their potential while creating an environment that kids look forward to returning to time and again.
