After leading Mathnasium of North Beverly to become the #1 Mathnasium center in New England, she now aims to replicate this success in the North Andover community. With over a decade of experience as an educator, Sarah is dedicated to building individualized and comprehensive curriculums that meet each student where they are. Sarah is committed to fostering a love of math in all of her students, whether in the center or the classroom – in fact, when she is not at Mathnasium, you can find her at Endicott College, teaching math to budding educators! Rather than emphasizing rote memorization, Sarah believes in teaching math in a meaningful way that develops kids' number sense and mathematical maturity, as well as building individualized and comprehensive curriculums for each student that allows Mathnasium to meet kids where they are. She believes that good grades are just a byproduct of what Mathnasium does for kids – when math makes sense, excitement grows, grades improve, and doors open! Mathnasium of North Andover is a bright, open, and fun learning environment where caring and engaging Instructors help students of all ages come to catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math. Mathnasium also offers standardized test prep for the SAT, PSAT, ACT and high school or private school placement exams such as the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT. Prize cabinets, raffles, student rewards, the Annual TriMathlon, free Math Nights co-hosted with local schools, and other events – in addition to an excellent teaching staff that specialize in making math fun for kids – make our center a place kids love to come to. Rachel holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from Endicott College and joined the Mathnasium team in 2020. Prior to this, Rachel worked as a STEM facilitator for an online camp, where she enjoyed conducting engineering and other STEM experiments. Rachel was impressed by the Mathnasium Method's customized approach, which transformed her perception of what was possible in math education. Working alongside passionate Mathnasium Instructors further fueled her enthusiasm for this role. Originally from the South Shore, Rachel loves spending summer days at the beach and going on bike rides along the water. In the winter, she enjoys skiing and building snow forts. Her furry friend, Gizmo, accompanies her on all of her adventures! When she's not teaching at Mathnasium of North Andover, she is the Student Success Director at the Mathnasium of North Beverly!
Cire inherited a talent for thoughtful communication through his close-knit family. Being an older brother and cousin allowed him to develop a love for tutoring and helping the people close to him grow. That practice then allowed him to extend his help to his high school peers in 2020-24. Cire has participated in multiple peer mentoring classes and has an above-average level of understanding of mathematics overall. Community outreach is an important quality he holds. He makes sure never to miss opportunities at his church, college, and even workplace to better himself and others' well-being while also keeping a courteous and professional demeanor. What to expect when working with Cire is an optimistic attitude at all curves of one’s learning journey. He understands that no math class is the same, and lessons for each course have many differences. Knowing this, you can expect this instructor to go out of his way if needed to reach a new understanding of learning. Despite the obstacles and challenges, his optimism will ensure that even a below-average score is progress. Like all of the staff here at Mathnasium, Cire is here to transform your child's educational experience into a fun and meaningful adventure.
