Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Uma Srinivas

Assistant Center Director

Uma joined Mathnasium in 2015 with a background in accounting, initially focusing on operations. Over time, she discovered a passion for education and shifted into management, where she now enjoys working directly with students. Her favorite part of the role is helping young learners build confidence and overcome the fear of math.

Outside the center, Uma enjoys walking her dog, Bentley, and spending time with her family. She has two grown children who also share her love for teaching and mathematics.

Zac DeLane

Lead Instructor

Zac is a proud UT Longhorn with a BFA in Design, specializing in graphic, interaction, and industrial design. He has been part of the Mathnasium team for over five years and also teaches Graphic Design full-time in the public school system. His teaching philosophy centers on showing students why math matters in the real world.

By connecting concepts to everyday experiences, Zac helps students retain knowledge and enjoy learning. He is dedicated to making math fun, meaningful, and engaging for every learner.

Anshul Moondra

Lead Instructor

Anshul is a senior at UT Austin studying Computer Science and Math while working toward his integrated master’s degree. A Mathnasium instructor for more than three years, he draws on his own experience with math competitions to inspire students and deepen their problem-solving skills. His teaching emphasizes conceptual understanding over memorization.

Outside of Mathnasium, Anshul can be found watching Red Sox games, playing piccolo in the Longhorn Band, or helping his friends with homework. He enjoys sharing his love of math in both academic and personal settings.

Sam Zigrossi

Instructor

Sam holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education, an M.S. in Education Administration, and an MBA in Management. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Texas State University’s School of Business, specializing in Human Resource Management and Leadership. Previously, he worked for the University of Texas as Program Director at the Charles A. Dana Center, where he focused on improving K–12 math and science achievement.

Before his time in higher education, Sam built a 29-year career with IBM in executive management and leadership roles. At Mathnasium, he enjoys using his vast experience to guide students in building strong math foundations.

Michele Seidel

Instructor
Michele Seidel has a B.A. in Mathematics from Hunter College of the City University of New York. She holds a permanent certification for Secondary Mathematics in Texas. She was employed by the Eanes School District for 5 years. She began working with special needs middle school students in the West Ridge Middle School and then transferred to Westlake High School, where she taught Algebra 1 & 2. She currently volunteers with the Assistance League of Austin, whose mission is to enable children and adults to achieve a higher quality of life by providing basic needs, including clothing to school-age children within the Austin ISD. She's thrilled to be part of a team that understands how children learn best.

Shanti Sriram

Marketing Lead
Shanti Sriram has a bachelor's degree in Commerce, with a specialization in accounting and auditing. Before moving to the US, Shanti worked in a firm as an audit assistant in a team that audited companies. She joined Mathnasium about 3 years back, and thoroughly enjoys teaching here. Shanti loves helping students see the logic behind simple math concepts, and seeing their faces brighten with the understanding of the problem. Mathnasium made Shanti realize that every child is capable of being an achiever when given the time and space to grow. Outside of Mathnasium, Shanti loves to travel and read travel blogs and garden, and practice yoga.

Swati Kapoor

Instructor
Swati has a Master’s degree in Commerce and worked as a Realtor® for several years. She is hugely inspired by her mom’s and aunt’s illustrious careers in education and often used to role-play as a teacher in childhood. Mathnasium returned her to her true calling – teaching, which is also the best way to keep learning! Her biggest moments of joy come from helping a child conquer a feared Math topic or helping them apply their Math skills to problem-solve. Besides teaching, she enjoys nature, music and dance, philosophical discussions, travel, poetry, Scrabble®, and laughing out loud.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
