Gail Reisman brings a diverse background in accounting, marketing, and education to her role as Center Director at Mathnasium of North Bethesda. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
A longtime DMV resident and former CPA, Gail is active in the DC community and local public schools. She’s excited to use the Mathnasium Method™ to help students build confidence, master math, and enjoy learning in a fun and encouraging environment.
Janet holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park and an A.A. from Montgomery College. She has always enjoyed helping classmates understand math and brings that same passion to her role at Mathnasium.
Janet loves seeing students experience “aha” moments when concepts finally click. She believes that learning math should be collaborative and fun, and she’s committed to making each session an opportunity for students to build confidence and make real progress.
Sofia earned her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. She combines her love of math with a talent for teaching to help students succeed and feel empowered in the subject.
Outside of Mathnasium, Sofia enjoys reading, writing, and playing sudoku. She’s passionate about making complex math concepts easier to understand and helping students develop the confidence to tackle any challenge.
Lauren is a student at the University of Maryland, College Park studying Statistics. She loves helping students succeed in mathematics and is committed to sharing her love of math.
Outside of math, Lauren enjoys dancing and baking.
Dylan is a senior at Walter Johnson High School. His passion and deep understanding of mathematics has guided him towards pursuing an engineering degree upon graduation!
Aside from academics, Dylan is an accomplished athlete, having competed in multiple international figure skating competitions and medaling at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games. Dylan is also well-experienced with addressing unique challenges and learning styles, having served all through high school as a volunteer Special Olympics skating instructor.
Meera is a senior at Walter Johnson High School with an interest in STEM. She enjoys helping kids of all ages do well in math and wants to aid them in succeeding, the same way her math instructors did for her.
In her free time, she loves playing video games, being outdoors, and knitting.
Leila is a junior at Walter Johnson High School, and is passionate about helping kids love math. She loves seeing the spark in kids when they get a problem right.
In her free time, she enjoys playing field hockey, creating digital art, and hanging out with friends and family. She is hoping to pursue math to a higher degree in the future!
Nahom is a senior at Montgomery Blair High School in the STEM Magnet Program, where he has taken advanced courses including Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations. He has experience mentoring middle school students and teaching complex concepts in accessible ways, bringing that same passion for student success to his role at Mathnasium.
Aside from math, Nahom is a pianist who has performed for over a decade and has won numerous music festival competitions. He also plays saxophone in Blair's Marching Band and Wind Ensemble, where he has learned the value of discipline, practice, and continuous improvement, all of which are skills he brings to every tutoring session.
Grace graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. She enjoys helping students of all ages improve their math skills.
When not working, she can be found trying new recipes (both making and eating) and searching for new restaurants.
