Lead Instructor
Janet has earned a BA in Mathematics from UMD, College Park and an AA from Montgomery College. All throughout school, she always enjoyed helping her classmates who were struggling with math. She has brought this enthusiasm to Mathnasium, striving to make math more digestible and help them experience that "Eureka!" moment when everything just clicks. After all, it’s more enjoyable to think together than to struggle alone.

Mateo is a graduate of Montgomery College with a Business Associate of Arts degree. There he was a member of the Student Senate and the Latino Student Union. Most recently Mateo was a membership counselor at LA Fitness in North Bethesda.

Sofia is a junior at the University of Maryland majoring in Aerospace Engineering. She is driven by her love for math and a passion for helping others excel in the subject. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and playing sudoku.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
