It’s April 23, 2020, and we’re still trying to get our heads around school closures and what distance learning will mean for our children.  In this tough time, you might be feeling overwhelmed.  I want to let you know that you are not alone.  Mathnasium is here to help, just like we always were.  Let us do the work of helping your child master their math skills and grow their confidence.  We work with parents, teachers, and our staff to provide the ultimate support for our students.

Parents are wondering about how much schoolwork their children should have.  Some want more, some want less.  I think it’s most important that students are working on the right materials at the right time.  Is reviewing material they already know really that helpful in the long run?  Where can they turn if they don’t understand something?  How about endless drilling on the same topic?  I don’t think so.

We have a lot of flexibility here at Mathnasium with our math tutoring programs.  That’s the key in these uncertain times.  We’re here to work with your student and your family, no matter what.  These are the highlights of how flexible we are, providing the perfect fit for your child’s needs.

  • Our longer-term learning plans are individualized for each student, from day one.
  • Each session is organized so that your student is working on a mix of the right materials for that moment.  Our sessions are engaging, interactive, and positive for every student.
  • Our math tutors are incredible.  They provide one-on-one instruction virtually, so that your child gets the attention they need, and the space they need for independent learning time in each session.  Our team-based approach means your student is never bored with math!
  • Our online virtual learning platform for Mathnasium@home is built for tutoring math.  Students interact with live instructors, on real-time whiteboards.  We include games, activities and rewards in each session.
  • Memberships are flexible.  We have the program that fits your needs, budget, and we know times are uncertain.  We can work with you to help your child.
  • When we can reopen our center, you will have the option of switching to in-center instruction or staying with us on Mathnasium@home.  There will be no added costs.

I know there is a lot to deal with right now, but if you need to talk with a supportive person, please give me a call anytime.  I’m happy to help.
