Mary Grace is studying child development and psychology; she hopes to be a child psychologist. She has been working at Mathnasium for over a year, and was previously the Assistant Center Director and an instructor. She was an after school teacher at KidsCare, where she provided enrichment activities in STEAM and homework help to kids in grades K-5. At Girl Scout summer camp, she was a volunteer for many years and then was a unit counselor for 3 years, with all of her experience adding up to 10 years of working with kids. She obviously loves working with kids, but she enjoys working with parents as well; please reach out if you have any questions! Sachi is pursuing a BA in Japanese with a minor in child development. They began tutoring friends and family at a young age before developing a true passion for early childhood and elementary education in high school, after working as a volunteer tutor with Nova Spero in El Cajon. This led to Sachi becoming a private tutor for elementary students in English & Language Arts, mathematics, and eventually piano and voice. They also worked with Boys and Girls Club to deliver arts and music education to the elementary students of Carlsbad but, eventually, Sachi devoted themselves to tutoring full-time. After 4+ years of formal tutoring experience and many more just helping out friends, Sachi began working at Mathnasium as the Assistant Center Director to continue serving their community while staying up-to-date on current teaching methods and practices.
