Hi my name is Chelsea Olivarez and I used to be a Mathnasium student. I just graduated high school and will be attending Chapman University in the fall with a major in Health Sciences. Math has always been an enjoyable subject for me in school and I've always seen myself working with kids somehwere in the near future. Now I get to do both by working at Mathnasium. As I got older, mathematics didn't get easier so I understand the feeling of struggle that is ocassionally felt when something is not clear. Thus, my goal is to help the students not feel this way by positively impacting their mastery on the subject. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is dance Folklorico. This style of dance is also known as Mexican Folk Dance and it refers to many traditional dances from Mexico's different states. Performing brings out bursts of energy and is something I truly enjoy because it makes me feel connected to my culture and where my family comes from.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
