Karyn Songer

Karyn Songer

Center Director
Karyn attended Fresno State and obtained a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, with a minor in Science. She also completed the credential program in 2002. Karyn has tutored all throughout college and began working at a charter school in January, 2003. There, she taught 6th grade for 7 years. Karyn is excited about working at Mathnasium and showing students that when you understand it, math can be fun!

Andy Benitez Lopez

Assistant Center Director
Andy was born and raised in Fresno. He currently attends Fresno State and is majoring in Mathematics in hopes of one day becoming a Math teacher. He attended Edison High School, where through their engineering program, he developed a passion for science and technology, as well as community service. In his free time, he likes to play video games and paint.

Daniel Hieng

Instructor
Daniel has been attending Fresno State as a Mathematics major. He has plans on becoming a Mathematics teacher at either the High School or College level. Daniel attended Corcoran and Golden West High Schools. Daniel likes gaming and helping others.

Sarah Bozsum

Instructor
Sarah grew up in Fresno and graduated from Edison High School. She is a Biology major at Fresno City College, transferring to Fresno State to complete her bachelor's degree. Her career goal is something in the realm of microbiology or zoology.

Kason Fite

Instructor
Kason has an A.S. in mathematics/physics from Fresno City College. In his spare time, Kason likes to coach baseball. He is thrilled to see the growth and progress in Mathnasium students.

Stephanie Angeles

Instructor
Stephanie is a student at Fresno City College. She plans to transfer to Fresno State and major in accounting with the goal of becoming a CPA. Her interests include photography and helping young math students.

Sukhampreet Kaur

Instructor
Sukham is attending UC Merced where she majors in Computer Science. Sukham is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi, as well as English, c++, java and python.

Elizabeth Nicolet

Instructor

Elizabeth is a Fresno native. She is currently enrolled at Fresno State working toward a degree in Elementary Education. She draws great inspiration from her Mathnasium students and loves seeing all the progress they make towards their goals.

Abel Sandoval

Instructor

Abel has a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Communication. He is active as a substitute teacher in FUSD. Abel has a lot of experience tutoring math and loves to work with the kids here at Mathnasium.

Sebastian Hererra

Instructor

Sebastian is working toward his single-subject teaching credential. He is a substitute teacher and will eventually be a high school math teacher.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
