A: Mathnasium's Comprehensive Assessment is a detailed test that allows us to identify exactly where students' math skills are. It allow us to identify any gaps and what we need to work with students.
Q: What things do you learn about a student when they take a comprehensive assessment?
A: We are able to identify any foundational gaps that are not allowing the student to move forward. We are able to create a detailed learning plan based on the student's needs.
Q: What is a customized learning plan?
A: Our customized learning plan is created based on the detailed assessment. It will contain topics and areas we need to work with the particular student.
Q: How do you gauge progress?
A: We are able to determine progress because at the end of every topic, the students complete a Mastery Check in which they do not receive any help from their instructor. We also conduct post assessments every 2-3 months.
