Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Sam Y.

Assistant Center Director

Hi! I'm Sam York and I've been teaching and tutoring Math for about 7 years now. I studied at the University of Georgia and taught math (all levels K-12) for 2 years in New York City. I'm passionate about helping students become the best versions of themselves academically, inspiring confidence and the desire to learn. What keeps me going is providing the experience of that 'aha' moment, and to make even the most complicated topics seem mundane. I hope, through Mathnasium, to continue to share a curiosity for life, a thirst for knowledge, and crucially, for myself and others to never forget to have fun in the process!

Cameron M.

Instructor
Hi, my name is Cameron Moats and I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood education! I have a lot of experience with tutoring students in math and have spent 3 years working at summer camps as a camp counselor! I love Mathnasium because it allows me the opportunity to give kids that "lightbulb moment" where everything clicks and falls into place! Also, math is the best subject out there without question. I may or may not be biased.

Vernessa H.

Instructor
Hello, I am Vernessa Harrell. Math is my second career but my first love. I have known since middle school that I would teach math. I am a certified Math Teacher with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education from Mercer University. Mathnasium gives me the opportunity to do what I love, help children to grow their math skills and in doing so they become confident math students and analytical thinkers.

Karason M.

Instructor
Hello! I am Karason Mach, a junior at Peachtree Ridge High School. One of my favorite subjects in school is math, and I love spreading my love for the subject to students at Mathnasium. There are always different ways to understand things in life not just math, and having multiple methods to take on a topic can help make things easier! Being at Mathnasium gives me a new experience of teaching younger students how fun math can be and also allows me to connect with new people here

Andrew Tep

Instructor
Hey! My name is Andrew Tep and I am currently a student attending Collins Hill High School. Math has been one of my favorite subjects ever since elementary school because of the way the problems always have an answer. I love learning new concepts and having to use the old ones to solve the new concepts. I like solving problems and being at Mathnasium will allow me to get the experience to teach younger students and show them the fun in math!

Frank V.

Instructor
Hi! Im Frank Vera and I am a senior in Archer High School. I strive to major in Engineering with a minor in Physics, two subjects that thrive in mathematical skills needed to solve real world problems. I like helping students to become the best they can in things that they might struggle with in order for them to become better students. I am happy to be part of Mathnasium.

Cameron G.

Instructor
Hello! My name is Cameron Grey and I am a senior attending The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. I am a student who has always had a love for math and I hope to spread the thrill of learning math to students at Mathnasium. I love the sense of achievement felt when I help a student understand a difficult concept. Mathnasium makes me feel like I am making an impact on the education of the next generation.

Kevin A.

Instructor
Hey, I'm Kevin Adjato! I'm currently a senior at Archer High School who intends to major in the field of electrical engineering. In my opinion, mathematics is the most important subject, as it facilitates the accuracy of medicinal practices, revolutionary inventions, and cooking recipes! Through mathematics one can understand the many mysteries floating around in this big world. Mathnasium has allowed me to share this perspective with a variety of students, and show them that math isn't just about the destination but also the journey.

Michael H.

Instructor
Hello! My name is Michael Huynh and I am currently attending Greater Atlanta Christian School. Math has always been my favorite subject in school because it has challenged me more than any other class I’ve taken. I love learning and I hope I can teach younger students to love math they way I do and also enjoy challenges rather than shy away from them because they are hard.

Ashley P.

Instructor
Hi! I am Ashley Pierre, a senior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. I intend to pursue a degree in Biology. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects, and I really enjoy working at Mathnasium as it keeps me sharp with my math concepts. I love working with the students here, and can't wait to learn much more as I continue here.

Kale M.

Instructor
Hello, my name is Kale Maxwell and I am currently attending Collins Hill High School. I have always loved solving logic puzzles my entire life, and I think that is one of the main reasons math is so interesting to me. Every problem can be logically broken down like a puzzle in some way, and the feeling of satisfaction after solving it is unmatched in any other subject. I love working at Mathnasium because I have the opportunity to help other students achieve that feeling as well. I have also gained a new perspective on math from this job, as explaining mathematical concepts to students has allowed me to see patterns I have never thought about before.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
