Bridgette has worked with children at a number of places for over 10 years. With a solid foundation in childcare and an Associate’s in Psychology, she brings compassion, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of child development to her role. She is ecstatic to be a part of the Mathnasium team and contribute to building up students' confidence and love of learning. She has a passion for making a positive impact on students' lives and creating an environment where they can feel welcome and motivated to succeed, as well as have fun! In her free time, Bridgette enjoys watching movies, playing board games, going to theme parks, and spending time with family.
Sherin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She first started at Mathnasium as an instructor in 2021. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Director and even helped establish Mathnasium of Valencia. Sherin has pursued a career at Mathnasium because she wants to make an impact in her community and she wants to help as many students as possible. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable, confident, and can strive for excellence. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, shopping, and making new recipes.
Nathan is currently a senior at Valencia High School. He has a strong passion for math, which has been a consistent area of success throughout his education. After high school, he hopes to major in chemistry and aspires to join the medical field. Nathan is dedicated to helping students understand math in new ways and finds satisfaction in seeing others work to grasp challenging concepts. In his free time, Nathan finds joy in traveling, watching shows and movies, sketching, and taking photos.
Sam graduated from Boise State University in December 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business. Sam is passionate about math and has always enjoyed helping others. He wanted to work at Mathnasium because he loves that he’s making a real difference in these students’ lives and can see how they’re progressing in math as time goes on. He also loves working with and connecting with the students. In his spare time, Sam likes to read, play games with friends, and spend time with family.
Nick is currently a senior attending Saugus High School. He is currently dual enrolling at Saugus and COC and planning to major in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Throughout Nick’s high school path he helped friends and strangers to see math the way he saw it and helped them succeed with problems they didn’t think they could ever do. In his free time Nick likes to play sports such as volleyball and basketball as well as spend time with his friends and family.
Jodeen is currently a junior attending Saugus High School and wants to major in computer science in the future. Throughout high school, she's been successful in math classes and looks forward to tutoring others and helping them become confident in math. In her free time, Jodeen enjoys crocheting, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
Jamie is currently a junior at Hart High School. She started working at Mathnasium to help kids further advance their math skills in a positive and welcoming environment. Math has always been her favorite subject in school and she hopes to help students love it just as much. She hopes to pursue medical school and become a doctor. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing volleyball & tennis, and listening to music.
Andy is a current junior at Hart High School. He hopes to attend a UC and major in Mechanical Engineering. He has always had a passion for math and enjoys teaching others subjects he has excelled in. He enjoys working out, playing tennis, spending time with friends and family, and cooking in his spare time.
Rafael has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Thomas Edison State University. Rafael wants to help build students' confidence through effective teaching and positive reinforcement. He's committed to helping students unlock their full potential at Mathnasium. In his free time, Rafael enjoys playing video games, sharing jokes with friends, and playing volleyball at the park.
Joie is currently a nursing student at College of the Canyons with the goal of becoming an RN on a pediatric unit. This is definitely inspired by Joie’s passion for working with the pediatric population! Joie has always loved tutoring and leading groups of young students to help them reach their fullest potential. During free time, Joie loves to play the guitar, read, and hang out with friends.
Lilia is currently a sophomore at Saugus High School. She is currently dual enrolling at Saugus and LA Valley College and planning to major in political science and government to become a prosecutor and later a politician. She wanted to work at Mathnasium because she wants to help kids understand concepts they struggle with. Math has always been something she's been passionate about, and she wants to help others find the same interest in the subject, especially since it comes up just about everywhere. In her free time, she likes to play piano, practice with her swim team, solve rubick's cubes, and read.
