Emma is the Center Director at Mathnasium of North Wilmington, where she brings both a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. She graduated from West Chester University in 2023 with degrees in Statistics and Actuarial Science. With a deep understanding of math and a commitment to student success, Emma is dedicated to creating an environment where students not only improve their skills but also build the confidence they need to excel.
Outside of Mathnasium, Emma enjoys spending time with her two cats, Phoebe and Oliver. She is also an avid reader and enjoys painting in her spare time. Emma is excited to work with students, guiding them toward their academic goals while making learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Henry previously taught 5th and 6th grade math at Immaculate Heart of Mary before fully committing to his role at Mathnasium. Passionate about creating a supportive learning environment, he enjoys helping students build confidence and a strong foundation in math. His goal is to make math both accessible and enjoyable for every student.
Outside of teaching, Henry is a big baseball fan and loves watching Star Wars movies and TV shows. Whether in the classroom or at Mathnasium, he is dedicated to helping students succeed in their math journey.
Beverly taught algebra, pre-algebra, and general mathematics for grades 6-8 in the Southeast Delco School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Millersville University and a Master of Education from Widener University.
After retiring from public education, she missed teaching and student interaction. At Mathnasium, she found both—along with an excellent curriculum that helps students truly understand math. She loves being part of a learning environment where students can thrive.
Peggie recently retired after 27 years of teaching math, both in the U.S. and West Africa, where she even learned French to teach abroad. She holds a Mathematics degree from Hartwick College and two master’s degrees in Secondary Math Education and Applied Educational Technology.
She believes the most important part of teaching math is helping students overcome the idea that they "can't do math"—because they absolutely can! Peggie is excited to continue inspiring students at Mathnasium.
Dan’s love for math began during his mechanical engineering studies at Deltech, where he later taught and tutored math. After five years in education, he transitioned to construction but always hoped to return to teaching. In 2023, he joined Mathnasium, reigniting his passion for math and education.
When he’s not teaching, Dan enjoys playing board games with friends and participating in his lodge as an Oddfellow. He is excited to help students develop their math skills and confidence at Mathnasium.
Shreya is a senior at Garnet Valley High School who will be attending the Honors College at Michigan State University, where she plans to pursue a degree in astrophysics. She has a strong interest in astronomy, mathematics, and physics, and is passionate about exploring the universe through her studies. In her spare time, Shreya enjoys volunteering with Amnesty International and the Bengali Association of Delaware Valley. Her extracurricular activities include competitive dance, playing violin in the orchestra, participating in Science Olympiad, and playing tennis. Shreya loves sharing her knowledge of mathematics and her enthusiasm for the subject with others.
Seemy Hodge graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics. During his time at UD, Seemy was a tutor for the Mathematical Sciences Learning Laboratory (MSLL) and a Statistics Mentor for Math 114: College Mathematics & Statistics. Seemy is passionate about using his knowledge and experience to inspire and support students in their mathematical journeys.
Shreeya is a senior at Garnet Valley High School with a passion for math. She enjoys helping others discover the beauty of math as an instructor at Mathnasium. Outside of her love for numbers, Shreeya has a twin brother and an older brother, and she values spending time with her friends and family. When she’s not teaching or solving math problems, you can find her reading or enjoying quality time with loved ones.
Joshitha is a student at Garnet Valley High School with a passion for helping others develop confidence and mastery in mathematics. Beyond the classroom, she serves as a volunteer manager for a leadership program that advocates for women in underrepresented spaces, works as a babysitter and tutor, and competes in both track and field and cross country. She is also the cofounder and president of her school’s engineering club and the vice president of the Environmental Club. Joshitha’s goal is to empower students not only to understand math but to feel confident applying it in academic settings and everyday life.
Hannah is a junior at Caravel Academy with a strong academic focus in mathematics and science. She has excelled in advanced coursework, including AP Calculus and AP Biology, and maintains a high GPA. Outside of academics, Hannah is actively involved in music as the Drum Major of her school’s marching band and a member of concert ensembles, and she volunteers regularly in her community. She enjoys working with students and helping them build confidence and understanding in math.
Eugene is an experienced educator with a strong background in math, science, and technology, and a passion for helping students build both skills and confidence. He has taught learners at every level, from foundational math through algebra, calculus, and statistics, and is known for turning complex concepts into clear, practical steps. With years of classroom teaching, tutoring, and advanced academic training, he is dedicated to creating a positive environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and motivated to succeed.
