FAQ
Mathnasium is a math learning center that has only one goal - make math make sense. We do one thing and we do it better than anyone else. We help kids with math.
A free assessment is when your child comes in and we see where they are at in math. It is done entirely in the center and is designed to find out exactly where their skills are.
After this free assessment we sit down with you and show you where the specific strengths and weaknesses are and more importantly - how we can help.
This assessment is 100% free and it can be booked online or over the phone if that is more your style.
We certainly can. We find through experience there a few types of children that might need our services. And we can help all 3.
We can help all 3 types and have many times before.
Our curriculum is specifically designed to make math make sense and to actually understand the material and not just regurgitate information. Sometimes this is the same way they learn at school - sometimes it is not.
That fact of the matter is that school settings are designed for 1 person to teach 20 others. This works for many - but not for all.
Mathnasium has a team constantly evaluating and improving ways to learn based on data of kids actually learning. With over 1200 centers worldwide, there is a constant flow of information allowing tweaks and changes to be constantly implemented to maximize the effectiveness.
All Mathnasium work is done in center and there is no homework or work to be done out of the center.
We dedicate a portion of time each session to work on homework. We specifically use only a portion of the time to work on homework because we also need to work on foundational learning to make sure students learn the material - not just how to do homework.
For best results, sessions are roughly 1 hour long 2-3 times per week.
This is also based off of experience and studies to have optimal outcomes for all students.
Let's do an assessment and there is no up-front cost and no obligation. This is a great chance to de...
