Eric is the Chief Instructor at Mathnasium and a graduate of Penn State with a degree in physics. His strong mathematical background allows him to guide students through complex topics with clarity and care. A lifelong learner, Eric also reads Ancient Greek and studies philosophy.
As a Platonist, Eric sees math as essential to developing a strong mind and clear thinking. He enjoys applying the Mathnasium Method™ and takes great joy in watching students light up with understanding during face-to-face learning in the group environment.
Rovena brings many years of classroom experience from MCPS public schools to her role as Center Director. She is known for her engaging teaching style and her ability to connect with students across a range of learning needs.
Her versatile instructional approach aligns closely with the Mathnasium Method™, which emphasizes personalized learning plans and deep understanding over memorization. Rovena is passionate about helping each student grow in skill and confidence, and she is a favorite among many families in the community.
Tafese is a seasoned mathematics educator with experience teaching in international high schools. In addition to leading classroom instruction, he has developed a variety of teaching materials to help students master challenging topics.
At Mathnasium, Tafese uses his deep content knowledge and broad perspective to support students at every stage of their learning journey. He is committed to helping students meet both their academic and intellectual goals through engaging instruction and caring guidance.
