Ingrid Su is the owner of the Mathnasium of Orange. After completing graduate school at NYU, she worked as a psychotherapist. Through her extensive experience with people of all ages, she finds that empowering one’s self-confidence is the best way forward. When it comes to the complex math language, she believes Mathnasium teaches it with the best methods.
Ingrid has traveled globally, through both the Americas and Eurasia. This, coupled with her previous work and role as a business owner, has taught her how best to collaborate with others. Here at Mathnasium, she plans on using this knowledge to work with students on gaining the right tools needed for a skill she finds to be a necessity: math.
In her free time, Ingrid enjoys going on walks, watching classic films with her family, and telling stories through writing.
Larry Huang
Center Director
Larry Huang is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Orange. Having shown extraordinary skill and interest in math since childhood, he graduated from the prestigious Fudan University of Shanghai with a doctorate degree in mathematics, where he was kept by the university to become a math professor for five consecutive years before seeking more pathways in the United States.
Through observing students here for many years, Larry has noticed that schools often do not teach the basics of the mathematical language in elementary school, unable to accommodate every single student, leading to a drop in scores by middle and high school. To succeed in math, Larry believes that one must start with both confidence, a strong foundation in logical thinking, and high familiarity with mathematical tools. But such resources are often more difficult to come across than one may expect, so Larry has opened this Mathnasium in the hopes of better equipping his students with a chance at success. He hopes that under his tutelage, students will someday say “I am good at math” with conviction. Math is a language that can be taught, and one that Larry believes he will be able to guide students through thanks to his own experience in it.
After owning his own business for decades, he has returned to his life-long passion of furthering the field of math education. Despite the many hurdles in the road thus far, his Mathnasium center in Orange is finally opening.
Our Mathnasium Mission
