Ashleigh Woo

Meet Ashleigh! She's the Owner and Operations Director, where she combines operational expertise with a heart for community impact. With a professional background in systems management and process improvement, she ensures the center runs smoothly while keeping the focus on student growth, encouragement, and measurable progress for every family served. 

She believes math should be a source of confidence, not stress, and works to create a welcoming environment where students feel supported and motivated. 

Outside of Mathnasium, Ashleigh enjoys family adventures, travel, and building connections in her new community.

Ali Walensky

Meet Ali! She brings over a decade of diverse educational expertise to the team, with a background spanning charter schools, non-profits, and specialized instruction. A standout in her field, Ali coached middle school math teams to back-to-back undefeated seasons during her time in charter education.

She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, with a thesis focused on using music therapy to improve literacy for ESL students. Ali is a strong advocate for the Mathnasium Method because of how effectively it translates Common Core standards into simple, manageable steps. Outside the center, Ali is a dedicated animal advocate who fosters dogs and volunteers at local shelters. Having previously worked at a zoo, she is always happy to chat with students about all things animals!

Ethan Ly

Meet Ethan! He was born and raised in Orange County and is a recent graduate of the University of California, Riverside, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. He knows firsthand that whether you are analyzing molecular structures or tracking high-speed physics in motorsports, math is the underlying engine that makes it all work. 

Ethan brings that same enthusiasm for problem-solving to the Mathnasium team, helping students discover the real-world power of math. When he is not coaching at the center, he loves staying active in nature, whether hiking local trails or skiing down a mountain. 

Aseel Khatib

Meet Aseel! She combines a sharp mathematical mind with a warm, collaborative approach to teaching. Currently studying Mechanical Engineering, Aseel loves showing students how the math they learn at the center applies to the real world, turning abstract concepts into something tangible and useful. 

A natural team player, Aseel spends free time playing soccer with friends and stays grounded by enjoying quality time with family. At Mathnasium, Aseel's goal is to make every student feel capable, supported, and excited to learn. 

Danh Nguyen

Meet Danh! He's just finished his degree in Biochemistry, with a deep passion for molecular biology and research. Whether he is analyzing complex RNA-protein interactions or helping a student solve a tough equation, Danh knows that breaking big problems down into smaller components is the key to success. 

He brings that exact scientific precision and patient approach to the Mathnasium team, guiding students toward their own "aha!" moments. When he isn't at the center, you can find him working out at the gym, hitting the hiking trails, conquering a video game, or hunting down the absolute best matcha espresso in town.

Logan Heine

Meet Logan! He's got three years of tutoring under his belt, and brings an infectious energy to every session, proving that numbers and creativity make the ultimate team. While he’s a math enthusiast through and through, he actually holds a Bachelor’s degree in English - and when he isn't busy cracking complex equations, you can find him writing his very own fantasy novel!

Logan’s love for storytelling and logic naturally spills into his hobbies, from writing for his university newspaper to building worlds in the Video Game Development Club. Whether he’s diving into a great video game, jamming to his favorite music, or helping a student conquer a tough new concept, Logan is on a mission to show kids that learning isn't just rewarding - it’s an adventure.

Becca Cervantes

Meet Becca! Currently in her second year studying Math Education at Cal State Long Beach, Becca is on a mission to show students that math doesn’t have to be intimidating - it can actually be fun! Her dream is to teach high school math, and she brings that exact same energy and passion to every session at Mathnasium, helping students build real confidence and celebrate every "aha!" moment.

When she isn’t helping numbers click, you’ll probably find Becca finding hidden gems while thrifting, working out at the gym, or catching live music at her favorite concerts. She is thrilled to be part of the team and can't wait to make your student feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn!

Kim Arias-Godinez

Meet Kim! A freshman at California State University, Long Beach, where she is studying Civil Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys working out, playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and trying new places to eat. In the future, Kimberly hopes to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering to build a happy, stable life and take care of her parents. She is very excited to be a part of the team and looks forward to supporting her students as they reach their goals!

Andre Lim

Meet Andre! He combines dynamic energy with analytical precision, a combination that makes him a perfect fit for our Mathnasium team. He has been a fan of mathematics since childhood, discovering how mathematical thinking helps him troubleshoot complex challenges - a skill he refined while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Western Governor's University.

Beyond the center, Andre is a dedicated MMA fighter! This commitment to discipline and strategic planning perfectly parallels the approach we take with mathematics. He also brings great teaching experience from his time as a swim instructor at South Bay Aquatics Torrance. Whether he's teaching someone to swim, training in the ring, or breaking down an algebraic equation, Andre is passionate about helping students build the confidence to conquer any problem!
