Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Rex Schoolcraft

Regional Director

Rex holds a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Wyoming. He began his career as a high school math teacher and later embraced the Mathnasium Method for its clarity and effectiveness. As Regional Director, Rex helps thousands of students engage with math meaningfully every day.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing guitar, diving into computer simulation games, and spoiling his beloved dog—balancing leadership with heart and curiosity.

Jeff McCabe

President

Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from James Madison University and followed his passion for teaching by completing a Master’s in Education from George Mason University. He spent ten years teaching math at the high school and college levels before shifting into operations and training leadership roles with national restaurant brands.

Return to his roots led him to Mathnasium, where he now helps shape math education. When he’s not leading our team, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife of 28 years, their two dogs, and visiting his three adult children.

James Temple

CEO

James discovered his love for mathematics during his school years and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Mathematics in 2000. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft maintenance officer, where he began tutoring homeschooled students and recognizing the challenges many face with math.

In 2007, James returned to UVA to earn his MBA from the Darden School of Business. Today, as CEO of Mathnasium, he brings both mathematical insight and business expertise to the mission of transforming students’ lives through math.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
