Marge is the Owner/Center Director at Mathnasium of Oxnard North. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. Prior to venturing into the Mathnasium business, Marge worked with multi-faceted companies as a Human Resources practitioner where she did extensive recruiting, mentoring, counseling, and training. She has also gained 10 years of entrepreneurial experience in the retail/service industry. With her firsthand experience as a parent, and realizing the need for supplemental math learning in the Oxnard area, Marge is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Program to the community to help kids understand math in a way that makes sense to them and build their confidence.
Jinuk went to the University of California in San Diego with a degree in Computer Science. He has had several private tutoring experiences before joining Mathnasium. His hobbies and interests include gaming, watching sports, reading, and listening to music. A fun fact about him is that he had lived in Seattle, WA for two years. His favorite math joke is: "What did one math book say to the other? Don't bother me, I've got my own problems!"
Celestial is a Mathematics major at California State University-Channel Islands. Her favorite hobbies are reading books and cooking. An interesting fact about her is that she was born in Ground Hog Day. Her favorite math joke is: The English book asked the math book why it was so sad. Do you know what the math book said? “Because I have so many problems.”
Elena is a Mathematics major at Moorpark College, and is planning on transferring to study Applied Mathematics. Her hobbies and interests include: bouldering (she goes to the climbing gym often), arts and music (she makes paintings often and she once played bass guitar in a Black Sabbath cover band). Fun facts about her are: she knows three languages, and, she can only play bass clef instruments and the first one she learned to play was the euphonium. Her favorite math joke is: “Algebra can make you a better dancer. Do you know why? Because you can use an algo-rhythm.”
