Margarita Pineda

Franchise Owner/Center Director

Marge is the Owner/Center Director at Mathnasium of Oxnard North. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. Prior to venturing into the Mathnasium business, Marge worked with multi-faceted companies as a Human Resources practitioner where she did extensive recruiting, mentoring, counseling, and training. She has also gained 10 years of entrepreneurial experience in the retail/service industry. With her firsthand experience as a parent, and realizing the need for supplemental math learning in the Oxnard area, Marge is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Program to the community to help kids understand math in a way that makes sense to them and build their confidence.

Jett

Instructor

Jett went to Hueneme High School and graduated from UC San Diego with a double degree in Math & Computer Science. He has gained tutoring experience prior to joining Mathnasium. His hobbies include tennis, video games, and software development. A fun fact about him is that he's cross-handed (he uses his right hand for writing and left hand for other tasks, such as brushing his teeth and drinking coffee). He loves problem-solving and finding new strategies with students, all while making math a more understandable language! His favorite math joke is “Where do Mathnasium Instructors go on vacation? To Times Square!”

Issac

Instructor

Isaac is currently taking his associates degree in Engineering at Ventura College then plans to transfer to a university to earn his bachelor's degree in the same field. Aside from working at Mathnasium, he's also into retail sales and volunteer work teaching kids at his church. He loves to play guitar, read books, go to the gym, and repair or modify old electronics. A fun fact about him is that he has built his own guitar from scratch before! His favorite math joke is, "Why is six scared of seven? Because seven eight nine."

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
