We are well aware that there is skepticism regarding the academic school year that is approaching. The schools in the Palmetto Bay / Pinecrest community will be taking remote and hybrid approaches in an effort to comply with distance learning. At Mathnasium of Palmetto Bay, here are the things we are sure of:
1. We are open! Our Mathnasium team will be offering students instruction through the @Home platform and in our Palmetto Bay center. Your child’s safety is our priority during these times. Some of our updated health and safety procedures in-center include:
- disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly
- following social distancing guidelines by limiting the number of students
- requiring EVERYONE to sanitize their hands and wear a mask

However, our video-conference platform is still available to students who are interested in continuing online. We want your family to choose the option that works best!

2. We are here to help. Our team strives to achieve your child’s math goals! (getting ahead in math? filling in knowledge gaps? preparing for standardized tests?)
3. We will continue to assess your child. Each student has their customized learning plan based on their needs. We conduct regular assessments to monitor your child’s progress and alter their learning plan as needed.
4. We communicate. We provide regular progress reports by phone and email - it’s important for you to be aware of your child’s hard work! It is also possible to schedule an in-person or video-conference conversation to go over your child’s progress.
5. We make math make sense. We base instruction according to your child’s individual pace. Our goal is to have your child understand math instead of just memorizing methods and answers. We teach using a variety of techniques such as visual, tactile, aural, didactic, and Socratic. We build mathematical thinking skills to create confident problem-solvers!
Self-schedule an assessment for your child today either in our Palmetto Bay center - OR - on our video-conference platform.
