Q: What is the first thing a new student would do upon entering Mathnasium?
A: A new student would be greeted by the Center Director and then shown how to check themselves in. They would also be shown their binder location and then they are seated with an instructor who will introduce the student to our session procedures and expectations. The instructor helps familiarize them with warm ups and the different sections of their binders.
Q: What does the first session look like for new students?
A: A first session allows new students to meet instructors and other students. They are taught how to do a 'Number of the Day'. They will be introduced to Mathnasium materials and procedures, and possibly work on homework as well! At the end of the session, they would be able to buy prizes!
Q: Have you seen a student’s attitude towards math change?
A: Yes! When Brock first started at Mathnasium, he hated math and was very hesitant to ask questions. Now, he is asking his parents every day if he can come to a session!
Q: What do you wish students and parents knew before they brought their student to your center?
A: Mathnasium is more than just homework help. We address foundational gaps to help propel students forward into higher math.
