• Where is Mathnasium of Park City located?

  Mathnasium of Park City is in the Redstone Shopping Center (Kimball Junction) at 1571 Redstone Center Drive, Unit 130. We offer ample parking and are surrounded by family‑friendly spots like Sushi Blue, Cold Stone Creamery, Barnes & Noble, and Larry H. Miller Megaplex, making drop‑off and pick‑up convenient for busy families. 

  We proudly serve students from across Park City School District (PCSD) and the surrounding Wasatch and Summit counties. Local schools include: 

  • Elementary: Parley’s Park, Jeremy Ranch, Trailside, McPolin 

  • Middle School: Ecker Hill 

  • High School: Park City High

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Park City offers both in‑center and online tutoring. Students receive personalized, face‑to‑face instruction in a supportive group environment from the same caring tutors, whether they attend sessions online or in person.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No, the experience and results are consistent across formats. Online attendees receive the same personalized learning plans and face‑to‑face instruction as those in the center.

• What math classes can your Park City tutors help with?

  Our specially trained tutors support students in learning and mastering any math class and topic from Pre-K through 12th grade. This includes foundational skills, algebra, geometry, test prep, financial literacy, and more.

  We work with students of all skill levels, whether they need help catching up or want to get ahead.

  We provide math-only tutoring tailored to your child’s needs. After a diagnostic assessment, we develop a personalized learning plan recommending session frequency.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center tutoring?

  No, membership pricing is the same whether sessions are online, in center, or a hybrid blend.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Park City?

  At Mathnasium of Park City, enrollment begins with an assessment designed to understand your child’s current math skills and learning style. 

  This helps us create a personalized learning plan that builds on what they already know and supports their long-term growth and confidence. 

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary approach that combines personalized learning plans with effective instructional techniques.  

  Our specially trained tutors provide face-to-face tutoring in a supportive group environment that makes math understandable and enjoyable. 

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes! We support students across all skill levels. 

  Students who are struggling with math receive personalized, confidence-building instruction to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.  

  Students who are ready for more of a challenge can benefit from our enrichment programs, designed to deepen their understanding and expand their mathematical thinking. 

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Park City?

  Absolutely! We welcome students from homeschool, public, and private schools in Park City, including the surrounding communities of Kamas, Heber, Summit County, and Wasatch Counties. 

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes, our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand school‑assigned material.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No, all instruction and learning take place during sessions. We do not assign additional homework, so students stay focused and make meaningful progress while they’re with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes! We help students prepare for school-based tests, state assessments, and standardized exams including ACT®, SAT®, and even Financial Literacy. Our prep includes personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and strategies to build both math skills and test-taking confidence.

• What are the Center Policies and Guidelines?

  Billing: Memberships are automatically billed on the 1st of each month. Sessions do not roll over to the next month (except for certain enrichment and private session students). 

  • Session Scheduling: Schedule sessions easily online at https://mathnasium-booking.appointy.com/denac. We recommend booking as far in advance as possible — up to 60 days out and 4 hours ahead (24 hours for @home sessions). School year hours (Aug–June) are Monday-Thursday 2–6:30 PM, Friday 1–4:30 PM, and Saturday 1–4 PM (free game hour 4–5 PM). 

  • Session Cancellation: We have a 4-hour reschedule/cancellation policy (24 hours for @home). Changes within this window require calling or texting (435) 272-4994, as the online system won’t allow them. 

  • Hold/Inactivate Policy: Any monthly charge changes (including holds and cancellations) must be communicated in writing 7 days before the 1st of the new billing month. Two holds per calendar year are allowed at $15/month to keep grandfathered pricing. 

  • Homework Policy: Students are welcome to bring homework and spend time on it during sessions. Parents should try to have easier problems done before sessions so tutors can focus on challenging topics. Let us know about supplemental school topics to add to learning plans. 

  • Referral Program: Receive a $50 credit towards your next month’s payment and 25 full reward cards for every referral enrollment. Just mention the referrer’s name when enrolling.
