Anthony Wu

Lead Instructor

Anthony holds a BA in Statistical Science from Cornell University. He discovered a passion for math at age five and has loved it ever since. His tutoring and teaching experience spans high school and college students. 

Anthony finds joy in helping students understand and enjoy math. Outside the classroom, he enjoys traveling, learning languages, and collecting interesting things. 

About me: 

Hello! I graduated with a degree in statistics and am now the lead instructor here at Mathnasium! I love all things math and it was always my favorite subject in school. Assisting others gives me great pleasure and I hope to get as many kids to love math as I can!


Zhen Tong

Center Manager

Zhen earned his master's degree in Mathematics from NYU and brings a thoughtful and supportive approach to tutoring. He is dedicated to making math more engaging and accessible for every student. 

Zhen enjoys finding creative ways to explain concepts clearly and patiently answers questions until students feel confident. A fun fact: he was born on Halloween!

Hi! My name is Kiran and I’m currently a college student at City Tech planning on studying Nutrition at Brooklyn College. Jessica Yeung

Instructor
Jessica graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a specialization in Privacy and Security. Math had always been her favorite subject growing up and cultivated her particular fondness for logic and number puzzles. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, table tennis, and video games.

Gigi Juras

About me:
Math lover, theatre director, North Carolina native. I grew up dancing, watching musicals, loving the outdoors and especially the Blue Ridge Mountains. I’ve been teaching young people since I was 14, at my dance schools, as a camp counselor, as a teaching assistant, and artist. I am passionate about seeing kids grow into themselves and share their true passions with us! I always loved math and felt it was the most amazing and most reliable art. 


Key Career Achievements:
2+ years at Mathnasium, tutor for all ages! Creative math enthusiast who studied Mathematics and Theatre at her university.  Also workshopping and doing production work for new plays across New York City and North Carolina!

About me
I'm Algerian but was born and raised here in Brooklyn. I'm currently a student at Brooklyn College and majoring in Chemistry aspiring to be a chemistry teacher! I enjoy mysteries a lot, video games/books/ and movies.


Key Career Achievements:
I enjoy being able to help students understand and learn a certain math topic or simply improve their skills to master it. I did a lot of tutoring back in highschool with a variety of subjects and found myself to enjoy using my patience and knowledge to help others!
