Chris Lee

Owner

Chris is a proud father of three and a long-time advocate for math education. A Georgia Tech graduate with an engineering degree and an MBA, he brings both technical expertise and strong business insight to everything he does.He and his wife, Holly, discovered Mathnasium in 2005 while seeking a meaningful career change, and it has transformed both their lives and their community. Over the years, Chris has helped shape Mathnasium’s operational and educational systems while personally mentoring hundreds of students. He believes math shouldn’t be intimidating — it’s simply another language to understand the world. Through clear instruction and encouragement, Chris helps students develop confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Evan Findley

Owner/Center Director

Evan found his passion for teaching while tutoring students to help pay rent while studying at Georgia Tech. After graduating with Chemical Engineering and working in the field for a few years, he transitioned back to teaching and found Mathnasium. He worked with 4 different owners over 6 years until he met Chris and decided to partner with him to open his own - a goal of his for the last few years. Evan believes anyone can learn math and that it just takes the right mindset, effort, and teaching approaches to get there. In his spare time, he enjoys playing pool (billiards), watching the Braves, fishing, and anything outdoors.

Joel Satterfield

Instructor

Joel Satterfield, known to students as Mr. Joel at Mathnasium, is a retired educator from the Coweta County School System with a specialization in middle school mathematics. As a certified math teacher, he is dedicated to helping students build confidence and understanding by making complex concepts clear, practical, and approachable.

Mr. Joel brings a well-rounded background in education and the arts. He holds a master’s degree in instrumental conducting from the prestigious Schwob School of Music, often referred to as the “Juilliard of the South.” He is also a nationally awarded conductor and a retired composer and arranger, having written hundreds of musical works as well as three published textbooks.
