Tristyn Bemis earned his degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with minors in Applied Meteorology and Aerospace Studies, and is currently working on his Master’s in Human Security and Resilience. He’s spent years helping students as a private tutor in math, science, history, and English, and also worked in higher education, mentoring high school students as they planned for college and beyond.
After spending the last decade in Florida, Tristyn is excited to be back in his hometown community. He loves helping students build confidence and reach their goals.
Outside of Mathnasium, you’ll find him flying planes, cooking, playing piano, or relaxing with his wife and their two cats.
Jodi brings over 20 years of experience in math education to her role as Director of Education. She holds degrees in Biology, Math, and Math Education, along with a Specialist’s in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. She’s also a certified gifted instructor.
Jodi has taught everything from 8th grade math to IB Math Studies. She’s passionate about helping students experience “lightbulb” moments and believes every student can succeed in math with the right support and tools.
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree focused on Math Education and Psychology. She has expertise in College Algebra, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, and Statistics I & II, and has been with Mathnasium since 2011.
Lauren discovered her passion for math education in high school and has since dedicated herself to making math both challenging and enjoyable for students. She thrives on seeing students succeed and grow more confident in their abilities, and she’s committed to helping each learner develop a lasting love for math.
