Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Mia

Associate Center Director

Mia holds a Master’s degree in Human Development & Early Childhood Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and has more than five years of experience supporting young children as they build essential learning skills.

Through her work with children who have a wide range of developmental needs in both clinical and in-home settings, Mia has developed a strong understanding of how to tailor support to meet each child’s unique strengths and challenges.

She is passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and motivated to learn. Mia believes that positive early learning experiences build the foundation for long-term success in math, and she enjoys partnering with families to help children grow, develop confidence, and thrive.

Outside of work, Mia enjoys ice skating and baking (though not at the same time!) and loves trying out new recipes on her friends and family.

Jodi

Director of Education

Jodi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Math from Hope College, a Master’s degree in Math Education, and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. She is also a certified gifted instructor.

With 20 years of teaching experience, Jodi has taught everything from 8th grade math to IB Math Studies. She loves seeing students experience that “lightbulb moment” when a tough concept finally makes sense and believes that every learner can succeed with the right tools and encouragement.

Lauren

Director of Training

Lauren earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, with concentrations in Math Education and Psychology. Her coursework included College Algebra through Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics.

Since joining Mathnasium in 2011, Lauren has helped countless students build lasting confidence in math. She believes that math should be both challenging and enjoyable and takes pride in inspiring her students to see their math learning as a rewarding and empowering experience.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
