Shadnaz Bordbar

Instructor
Shadnaz is a student at UCLA. She is planning to attend medical school. Her mom is a high school math teacher who has always taught Shadnaz how to see the fun in math and its connection to the world around us. Shadnaz enjoys math and believes that it will make much more sense if you enjoy it too. Outside of math, her two other favorite things to do are exploring new places and creating music on her piano.

Alyssa Crabbe

Alyssa, currently a biology student at UC Davis with a focus on ecology, showcases her passion for teaching as an instructor at Mathnasium. Her dedication to fostering a positive learning environment and her adept engagement with students reflect her commitment to facilitating understanding and enthusiasm for mathematics. Beyond her instructional role, Alyssa enjoys pursuing her interests in watching TV/movies, playing soccer, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Daniela Kaylee Arif

Daniela is a valued member of our Mathnasium team. Currently pursuing her studies in neuroscience at Diablo Valley College, she aspires to transfer to a UC in the near future. Daniela attributes her solid foundation in math to the guidance of exceptional teachers who adeptly conveyed mathematical concepts. Rafa Mojica

Inspired by his exceptional mentors, he prioritizes conceptual understanding over rote memorization, empowering learners to appreciate the elegance of mathematical principles. Beyond the classroom, Rafa indulges in his love for cycling, often participating in bicycle tournaments for fun. Nika Panbehchi

Nika is a student at UC Berkeley, majoring in genetics, with a strong aspiration to pursue a career in dentistry. Nika is dedicated to connecting with students in innovative ways, aiming to cultivate a dynamic and interactive learning atmosphere. Apart from her academic pursuits, she has a profound passion for art and drawing, enjoys playing volleyball, and finds joy in cooking.

Leo Alcocer

Leo is currently a student at DVC pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, driven by his passion for space exploration. An avid problem-solver, he relishes tackling complex mathematical puzzles. Outside of academics, Leo finds joy in both virtual and outdoor social activities. Whether engaging with his online circle or mountain biking alongside his local friends, Leo values these connections. Additionally, he indulges in skateboarding, reading, and playing the bass guitar during his leisure hours.
