Calum began his Mathnasium journey as an instructor while a junior at Savannah Arts Academy. After high school, he studied with the Georgia Film Academy, earning credits as a Production Assistant on films such as Gemini Man with Will Smith and Backtrace with Sylvester Stallone. While the film industry was exciting, Calum realized his true calling was at Mathnasium, where he could inspire students through his love of math.
He enjoys making math fun and showing how problem solving connects to real life. Calum likes playing golf, watching movies, and following soccer—especially his favorite team, Manchester City.
Aileen holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Business Analysis from Glasgow Caledonian University. Originally from Scotland, she moved to the United States in 2005 with her husband, an Engineering Manager at Gulfstream Aircraft. In 2011, she opened her first Mathnasium in Savannah and has since expanded to Pooler, Bluffton, and even a center in England.
She has a true passion for helping children discover a love of math and reach their full potential. Aileen believes math should be both understandable and fun, combining logic, problem solving, and confidence-building in every student.
Jay first joined Mathnasium as a student in fourth grade and quickly advanced through high school math by his junior year. Inspired by the program’s approach, he became an instructor to share the same supportive experience that helped him succeed. He is now a junior at Georgia Southern University, where he studies computer science.
Jay enjoys working with students to show that math can be both fun and rewarding. In his free time, he likes programming, working on computers, and playing board games. His energy and enthusiasm help students see math in a new light.
Ella was born and raised in Pooler and graduated with honors from New Hampstead High School. She now attends Georgia Southern University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics. She loves making math fun and engaging for her students and is excited to continue teaching for years to come.
Outside of Mathnasium, Ella enjoys traveling and trying new experiences. She loves exploring different cultures and finding inspiration in new places, which she brings back to the classroom to encourage curiosity and discovery in learning.
Christina has been a Certified Georgia Educator since 2005, holding a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. She has spent much of her career teaching mathematics in diverse Savannah-area schools. Since joining Mathnasium in 2016, she has served in nearly every role, including five years as Center Director.
Now as Communications Manager, Christina represents Mathnasium at community and school events, building connections between families and the program. Her teaching background and leadership experience allow her to support students and families with enthusiasm and care.
