Norm Fernandez

Norm Fernandez

Center Director
Norm is originally from Miami but moved to Port Charlotte at a very young age. He loves giving back to his hometown community by spreading a love for math and math education! Norm is married to his wife, Courtney, and has one 15-year-old daughter. In his (limited) free time, Norm enjoys playing guitar, hosting D&D games with his friends, and running.

Payton

Instructor
Payton is a senior at Pine View School. He is attending USF in the fall to get his degree as a data analyst. Payton's favorite math subject is statistics as working and interpreting data is enjoyable. In his free time, Payton enjoys biking, exploring outside, and playing videogames.

Tyra

Instructor
Tyra is a Port Charlotte High graduate who studied at Pine View School until her final year. She will be attending UCF to further her degree in computer science and digital media. In her free time, Tyra likes to play piano, create art, listen to music, and play with her pets. Her favorite math subject is calculus, as she finds fun in the challenge of learning advanced concepts.

Darla

Instructor
Darla is currently a Senior at Booker High School and is graduating from their AICE and VPA Theatre program. She plans to continue her education as a Theatre student at Florida State University. She is a cinephile, and actively attends live theatre performances and local concerts, and frequents museums. Apart from the arts, she enjoys being outside, going on hikes, and frequents the beach.

Jhons

Instructor
Jhons is a USF student 1 year away from getting his Biology Bachelors. He is interested in pursuing a job in neuroscience research. Jhons enjoys many different hobbies such as wood crafting, DnD and videogames. His favorite math subject is Algebra.
