Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.


Lead Instructor
Russ has had a life-long interest in math. He tutored students while attending high school in Virginia, received an MS in Applied Math from the University of Virginia. He was a scientific application programmer at the Naval Air Test Center, and was known as the “numbers man” when he worked for over 30 years at OCLC in Dublin. While working and since his retirement he has always enjoyed tutoring neighborhood children in math. The ongoing joke was that he did not want to be paid; he enjoyed working with the kids and receiving the occasional brownies from the thankful parents. “Working with students at Mathnasium gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I enjoy, using a very well-defined curriculum and proven process.” Equally important as math is to Russ, is a love for music, and he is so proud of his son, a professional musician and music educator, and his grandsons who are also excellent musicians. We are proud to have instructor Russ with us here at Mathnasium!


Riya Sahu is an Instructor here with us at Mathnasium! She is a graduating Senior at Dublin Jerome High School. Her involvements include volunteering to support Ukrainian students in improving their English fluency, urban and rural education, and the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s phonetics programs. In college, Riya wants to extend her passion for supporting community in study to become a psychiatrist! Fluent as well in Spanish and Hindi, Riya strives to ensure each student has access to the educational resources they need. We are proud to have instructors like Riya as a part of our Mathnasium Team!


Lasya is a senior at Dublin Jerome High School, iInterested in medicine and research and currently part of the international baccalaureate program and do research at the Pari lab at OSU’s Wexner medical center on cells and reactive oxygen species. Also she volunteers to help improve children’s education and am the leader of two outside volunteer organizations. She strongly believe in order for one’s success a proper education is of utmost improvement. She is fluent in telugu and Spanish and also do a classical indian dance form called bharathanatyam in her free time. Favorite number: 11 Fav Math joke: what did the triangle say to the circle… “you’re pointless”


Alexis is a senior at Dublin Coffman High School. Math and science have always been her favorite subjects in school and she hopes to major or minor in statistics in college. When she is not at Mathnasium she enjoys playing golf, doing gymnastics, and leading her school’s Science Olympiad team.


Akaash is a senior at Dublin Jerome High School. He is interested in mathematics and economics as majors in college. Outside of Mathnasium he is an Eagle Scout and volunteers as part of his Boy Scout troop. He also enjoys reading and playing tennis. Favorite number: 88.


Stanley is a senior at Olentangy Liberty High School. He is skilled in communication, leadership and planning, teamwork, creative solution identification and in his personal time enjoys basketball, football, reading and keeping both mentally and physically fit! In his extra-curricular involvements he makes impact servicing as Service Club-Event Director, Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society- Creative Director, and a participant in his school's Ski and Snowboard Club. Taking 6 AP courses as well as courses at a local college, Stanley plans to pursue a career in engineering, as he is passionate about STEM and how it can be used to support the needs of surrounding communities. Edison is a Junior at the Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio. He volunteers at the Dublin Food Pantry and the Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation. At school, he is a part of the Model UN, tennis team, and investment club. He has competed in Mathcounts and the Ohio Math league, and generally loves math. In his free time, he likes playing tennis, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Favorite number: 0.08206.


Satvik is a upcoming senior graduate from Olentangy Liberty High School. Satvik is planning on attending college with a computer science based major as math has always interested him. He is also involved with many clubs including a youth council advisory and computer science club at school. For the community he has volunteered in underrepresented communities through YAC foundation, and has also shown support to the local temples. On the side, he likes to go to the gym and listen to a variety of music. He is always striving to meet new people as well as making Mathnasium a great place. Favorite number: 3.


Executive Director
Before opening the Mathnasium center, Ravi instructed Math and Science to kids of all ages. He has an MBA from Fisher College of business, Ohio State University and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from prestigious JNTU University, India. Ravi is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Powell community to understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. He has tutored children of all ages, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community. Married with two kids, Ravi also volunteers at Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Shelter for Homeless, and Local Schools.


Director of Operations
Before opening Mathnasium center, Satya worked as a college lecturer teaching engineering students in India, specializing in Civil Engineering. He has an MBA from Ohio University and an M.Tech in Civil Engineering from prestigious Anna University, India. Satya is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Powell community to understand Math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. He has taught and tutored children of all ages, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community. Married with two kids, Satya also volunteers at Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Local Churches and Temples, Shelter for Homeless, and Olentangy Local Schools.
