At Mathnasium of Quail Hollow, we believe the best exam preparation is building deep math understanding and mastery over time.
Students begin their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, session by session, so students aren't starting from scratch before every test.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across any K-12 math class, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing the concepts they're learning in school, filling in foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that serve them on quizzes, midterms, and final exams alike.
When a major exam is approaching, we can align instruction with the specific topics and concepts it will cover, so students walk in feeling prepared.
Yes! Mathnasium of Quail Hollow prepares students for the math portions of the North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) and End-of-Course (EOC) assessments.
Our tutors align instruction with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) for Mathematics to ensure students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on the exam. We identify each student's knowledge gaps through a diagnostic assessment and build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet grade-level expectations and feel genuinely prepared on test day.
We recommend starting as early as possible. The North Carolina EOG and EOC assessments test cumulative math knowledge, students benefit most from consistent, ongoing support rather than last-minute preparation.
Ideally, students should begin working with us at the start of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address any knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are progressing steadily toward grade-level mastery well before test day.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! At Mathnasium of Quail Hollow, we help high school students prepare for the math portions of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is taking the exam for the first time or looking to improve their score, we tailor preparation to their current skill level and target goals.
We recommend starting at least three to six months before the exam date, and earlier is always better.
College admissions math tests cover a wide range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math skills, starting even earlier, in middle school or early high school, gives them the strongest possible foundation heading into test prep. If your student's test date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time they have.
At Mathnasium of Quail Hollow, math test prep is included as part of a flat monthly membership. Pricing is based on each student's individual learning plan and session schedule.
Contact our Quail Hollow center for specific pricing details and to find the plan that best fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
The number of sessions depends on your student's current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time is available before test day.
For major standardized tests like the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT®, most students benefit from two sessions per week over a three to six month period. For state assessments or school-based exams, a shorter timeline may be sufficient depending on each student's needs.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes, Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained tutors and follow the same personalized learning plans as they would in the center.
Whether your student attends in center or online, they follow the same personalized learning plan and receive the same live, face-to-face instruction from our specially trained tutors. Many families find that mixing in-center and online sessions gives them the flexibility they need around busy schedules and upcoming exam dates.
Yes! Our tutors understand the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) for Mathematics and the curriculum expectations students encounter in local schools.
When appropriate, we align personalized learning plans with state standards and classroom goals to support both school performance and exam preparation.
