Samantha Dukes

Samantha graduated from Furman University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Music. With over 10 years of tutoring experience, Samantha began her journey at Mathnasium in high school and is thrilled to have come full circle (or 2π, for the mathletes keeping track at home!) She loves building personal connections with students and helping them gain confidence and a true understanding of math. Watching students grow into empowered problem solvers is her favorite part of the job. Samantha has worked as a data scientist and taught coding using Legos robotics  These roles provide Samantha with the knowledge and opportunity to bring real-world applications into teaching. In her free time, she enjoys singing, painting, traveling, and hanging out with her adorable Shih Tzu, Nugget. She’s also an avid fan of reality game shows like Survivor

Favorite Number: 4 because it is the only number with the same number of letters as its quantity.

Favorite Math Joke: Do you know what seems odd to me? Numbers that aren’t divisible by two.
