Birunthan is the dedicated Center Director at Mathnasium, bringing a passion for helping students excel in math. Birunthan holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Binghamton University. He began his career in education in 2016 as an 8th-grade history and science teacher in Brooklyn, New York. For seven years, he dedicated himself to building positive school cultures in the Bronx, fostering environments where students could thrive academically and personally.
Birunthan joined Mathnasium, eager to explore new opportunities in education while working closer to home. He is passionate about helping students discover the joy and understanding of mathematics, knowing that these skills will benefit them throughout their lives. Birunthan finds great fulfillment in seeing children light up as concepts begin to make sense, and he is excited to continue making a positive impact at Mathnasium.

With six years of teaching experience in schools, Peter brings a deep passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed. At Mathnasium, he strives to create a supportive and engaging environment where every student can build confidence in math and reach their full potential. Watching students overcome challenges and grow their skills is what inspires him every day. His goal is to make math fun, approachable, and empowering for all learners.
Jodi has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Math from Hope College and graduated with her secondary teaching certificate. She also has a Master’s degree in Math Education and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College.
Jodi has been teaching for 20 years and has taught all levels from 8th grade math to IB math studies. Jodi is also a certified gifted instructor. Jodi loves to teach and tutor because she loves to see the sense of great achievement when a student grasps a difficult math concept! She also believes that every student can succeed and excel with the proper tools and support.
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree focused on Mathematics Education and Psychology. She has mastered math skills in the areas of College Algebra, Calculus I – Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics I & II.
Lauren developed a passion for math education during her first two years of high school, and it continued throughout her college years. She believes that math is meant to be challenging and enjoyable, not frustrating and scary. Since starting at Mathnasium in 2011, she has enjoyed the continued success of her students and inspiring them to love math as much as she does.
