Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Evelyn

Lead Instructor
Evelyn’s current endeavor is acquiring a bachelor’s degree in physics. The mathematical component of Physics is what drew her into the field. Here, she is able to foster her passion for math even more. She’s had many instructors over the course of her educational journey, so she always makes a conscious effort to adopt the qualities of those who displayed excellence in teaching. After all, it’s a great responsibility to take part in shaping the young minds of our future generations!

Michael

Instructor
Michael has been with Mathnasium since 2017, but is new to the Redondo Beach center, having started in March of 2024. He is looking forward to fostering great relationships with his students, their parents and his coworkers. When Michael isn’t teaching, he can usually be found performing in community theatre productions around the South Bay. Michael also enjoys playing poker, chess, puzzle games, and anything else that keeps his mind sharp.

Sam

Instructor
Sam is a recent graduate from San Jose State University with a masters degree in aerospace engineering. He taught children to sail for several years before graduating. He is now excited to use his teaching skills to give Mathnasium students the math skills to both enjoy math and succeed in school. Outside of work, Sam enjoys going to the gym, walking, and playing video games.

Hannah

Instructor
Hannah is a current high school senior. She is currently taking AP Calculus BC at her high school and plans to major in chemical engineering in college. She joined Mathnasium because she greatly enjoys math and loves helping people understand these concepts, as well as making them realize that math is actually a lot of fun.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
