Q: What are your expectations from Mathnasium this new year?
Parent: I expect the my child to feel more confident about math this year. It is the only subject they don't have an A in yet. He has been doing so much better since starting so I would love for that to continue. I also would like to see some more improvement on their standardized test score at the end of the year.
Q: What are you looking forward to most this new year?
Student: I'm looking forward to buying one of the big Squishmallows! I've been saving up my cards for a long time, and I hope I can buy it before someone else does because it's so cute. I also hope I get to spin the wheel and get candy every single day!
Q: With the new year ahead, what are you excited to achieve at Mathnasium and how do you plan to make the most of this fresh start?
Student: I'm excited to take the SAT again and get a higher score. I've been practicing a lot in Mathnasium and even at home to get myself ready. I feel a lot less nervous about taking the test since I've been practicing here. I'm going to start coming on Sundays this 2025 to get extra practice!
Q: What new math concept or skill have you enjoyed learning at Mathnasium recently?
Student: Simplifying rational expressions, quadratic formula, and multiplying exponents. All three of those topics were pretty hard for me at first. After learning how to do it here and with lots of practice, I feel a lot better about them now.
Q: In this new year full of possibilities, what are you looking forward to assisting students with at Mathnasium to help them thrive and succeed?
Instructor: I am looking forward to seeing students grow and improve. My favorite part of working here is watching the kids have that "A-ha!" moment where they finally grasp a concept that they have been struggling with. I hope to hear plenty more "A-ha's" this 2025!
