Baylor

Center Director
Center Director Baylor is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Mathematics. He loves showing off pictures of his two dogs, playing tabletop and board games, and telling jokes that he thinks are a lot funnier than they really are. Baylor has been with Mathnasium for over 10 years. He has been an instructor, a lead instructor, an Assistant Center Director and now his role is Center Director. Baylor is passionate about math and passionate about changing the student's lives through math when they walk into the center. Favorite Number: 24, it has a lot of factors for such a small number. Favorite Math Joke: My girlfriend is like the square root of -100... She's a 10, but she's imaginary! In five years, I will be: Helping kids with math, no matter where I am. I love Mathnasium because: It is a safe place for people to build their confidence with math and to feel good about themselves again. I love seeing students flourish!

Chris

Instructor
I grew up in Northwest Indiana and then attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, where I received a degree in math education. I taught high school math subjects from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus AB at several Christian schools of various sizes as I moved around as a Navy wife. I had two breaks when we were stationed in Italy and the Azores. Now I have retired after fifty years of teaching. Mathnasium is a perfect place to give me the opportunity to still interact with both students and math. I enjoy baking, crocheting, walking, traveling, and exploring lighthouses.

Lisa

Instructor
Lisa spent 25 years serving in the United States Air Force and traveled around the world. Upon retirement in 2015, she became a stay-at-home Mom to her 2 kids because she didn’t want to miss any more of their milestones. After a few years, Lisa wanted to find a way to give back so she could continue to help others as her heart’s mission. Lisa has always loved math and was an active member of the Math Club in high school. She continued her love of math while in college taking many upper level math classes to include statistics. In her free time, she loves hanging with her kids and building Legos. Favorite Number: 25 because it is her lucky number. Favorite Math Joke: How are a dollar and the moon similar? They both have four quarters. In five years I will be: enjoying life and helping others. I Love Mathnasium because: I want to help others learn to enjoy math and make it fun.

Sandy

Instructor
Sandy graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following a long and fulfilling career in technology, Sandy sought a way to stay mentally engaged and make a positive impact on others. Mathnasium, which had greatly benefited her own children, proved to be the perfect fit. Sandy fondly recalls the satisfaction and thrill of solving complex math problems in high school and aims to inspire that same excitement in others. Recently, Sandy relocated from Georgia and, in her spare time, enjoys volunteering to help with cat adoption efforts.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
