Q: What was your initial impression of Mathnasium?
A: I thought that it was more of a homework help center where the kids would just bring in their schoolwork and get help with it when they needed it. I also imagined it more like a classroom with one teacher with 20-25 kids of the same age group.
Q: How has Mathnasium changed your child’s experience with math?
A: Josh used to get so frustrated whenever we had to do math homework. Now, he is so excited every time he gets to go to Mathnasium. He even bugs me about it, asking when his next session is as soon as he gets in the car!
Q: Has anything surprised you about Mathnasium?
A: I didn't realize how individualized the care for each student was going to be. Mathnasium has been very communicative about my child's progress every step of the way and has made adjustments based on what the instructors have noticed while working with her. The assessment discussions have been a great time to have an honest conversation about how my kid is doing with the program and what we need to work on in the future.
Q: What is your favorite result from Mathnasium?
A: I brought my kid in to help him out with his FLVS math class he was taking online. He went from struggling to get D's to getting A's on all of his tests and quizzes! He was feeling so defeated and now, he feels in control again!
