Gayathree Arun
Owner & Center Director
Gayathree has an MBT (Masters in Business Taxation) from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. She is also a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified in Management Accounting), and CFM (Certified in Financial Management). Prior to opening her Mathnasium center in Rochester, Gayathree, specializing in Corporate State and Local Tax, has worked for over 15 years in public accounting in reputed and well known global accounting firms and Fortune 500 companies.
The transition from giving up a seemingly lucrative corporate accounting job to owning a Mathnasium center occurred on seeing the impact the Mathnasium method had on her own two children. Both her son, now in middle school, and her daughter, now in elementary, went from treating Math as an academic ‘chore and bore’ to a fun activity. She is amazed at how her son would now remind her (when typically, it would have been the other way around) that he needed to be taken to Mathnasium that day per his after-school schedule! Before her own eyes, the Mathnasium Method transformed Math learning from a household anxiety to a fun activity, and eventually to a subject in which her children are currently excelling!
This personal experience gave birth to the thought and eventually into the act of starting up, owning, and running her own Mathnasium center with the objective of helping every child to truly understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. Gayathree is enthusiastically committed and excited to bring the Mathnasium Method to the children in the Rochester community.
