Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Arun Natarajan

Lead Instructor
Arun has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. Along with his PhD, he also has a M.S. in Solid State Physics. Arun is passionate about Math, believing that a Math background is essential for success regardless of profession: be it an engineer or an architect, an artist creating art that involves shapes and geometries, or a musician who practices and performs to octaves of notes or fractions thereof... the world is Math driven and there are dimensions, shapes, geometries, numbers everywhere we look. He believes therefore in having a solid foundation in Math and is passionate in teaching, sharing and learning Math constantly from peers and students. He also works at a Fortune 500 hi-tech company in Minnesota which involves harnessing the strength of nanotechnology to provide tomorrow’s solutions. He spends majority of his free time on Math education for all ages.

In addition to learning about mathematics, Marc enjoys talking about and sharing this passion with others. In conjunction with tutoring at Mathnasium, Marc also coaches soccer at one of the local high schools. Using the fact that it took three years of college before deciding to pursue mathematics, Marc hopes to be an example to his students and show them that it is alright to take your time while learning and figuring things out at your own pace.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
