Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Kristina C.

Assistant Center Director
Kristina will be one of the first faces you see when you walk into our center! She has been working in childcare and tutoring for several years now, and is happy to be using what she has learned during this time to better our center. Some of her favorite things include Disney movies, colorful crafts, and spending time with her family. At Mathnasium, Kristina’s favorite thing is getting to know the students as individuals, and using her creativity to keep things running smoothly day to day.

Aanya M.

Instructor

Aanya is a senior at the International Academy. After graduating High School, she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in business. She also enjoys dance, hanging out with her friends, family, and her dog, Simba. Aanya’s favorite part about working at Mathnasium is bringing smiles to the kids’ faces and watching them enjoy math when they understand a concept.

Nathan Y.

Instructor

Nathan is a Freshman in the Honors College at Oakland University.  He is pursuing a degree in actuarial science! His hobbies include playing the flute and trombone, as well as playing board games. Nathan's favorite part of Mathnasium is the relaxed, positive environment and getting to know his students.

Aaron

Instructor
Aaron attends an IB high school, and is excited to attend college once he graduates. He hopes to pursue a degree in computer science. Aaron’s favorite thing to do outside of school and work is dance! He belongs to a competitive Bollywood-style dance team. Aaron’s favorite part about working at Mathnasium is seeing the students' creativity and thought processes as they approach a new problem.

Mindy D.

Instructor

Mindy comes to us with a background in teaching.  She has spent the last 3 years teaching higher-level mathematics for a virtual academy.  She enjoys reading realistic fiction, and watching sports, especially hockey. (GO RED WINGS!) What she enjoys most about working at Mathnasium is having the ability to help students who have a negative association with math feel confident in their abilities.

Brandon K.

Instructor

Brandon is part of the early college program at Oakland Community College.  He is working towards a degree in mechanical engineering.  In his free time, Brandon enjoys powerlifting, martial arts, and Theatre!  Brandon enjoys working at Mathnasium because he has a passion for teaching and enjoys helping students build their confidence and skills in math.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
