Amanda has a BS in Elementary Education from Oakland University, and holds a professional teaching certificate for the state of Michigan. Before opening Mathnasium, Amanda had a very rewarding career as an elementary school teacher, teaching both fourth and fifth grade students in all curricular areas. Amanda is excited to bring back Mathnasium to the community of North Rochester and help children build a strong math foundation in a way that makes sense to them!
Aanya is a senior at the International Academy. After graduating High School, she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in business. She also enjoys dance, hanging out with her friends, family, and her dog, Simba. Aanya’s favorite part about working at Mathnasium is bringing smiles to the kids’ faces and watching them enjoy math when they understand a concept.
Nathan is a Freshman in the Honors College at Oakland University. He is pursuing a degree in actuarial science! His hobbies include playing the flute and trombone, as well as playing board games. Nathan's favorite part of Mathnasium is the relaxed, positive environment and getting to know his students.
Mindy comes to us with a background in teaching. She has spent the last 3 years teaching higher-level mathematics for a virtual academy. She enjoys reading realistic fiction, and watching sports, especially hockey. (GO RED WINGS!) What she enjoys most about working at Mathnasium is having the ability to help students who have a negative association with math feel confident in their abilities.
Brandon is part of the early college program at Oakland Community College. He is working towards a degree in mechanical engineering. In his free time, Brandon enjoys powerlifting, martial arts, and Theatre! Brandon enjoys working at Mathnasium because he has a passion for teaching and enjoys helping students build their confidence and skills in math.
