Anna Carroll is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Rockville. With a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and 2.5 years of teaching experience in MCPS, she is passionate about helping children build confidence and proficiency in math.
She believes that every child has the potential to succeed with the right support and encouragement. Anna loves seeing students grow in their abilities and discover the joy of problem-solving.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring new teaching strategies, and engaging with the Mathnasium community.
Alyssa loves working at Mathnasium because of its welcoming and fun environment, where instructors and students alike support and learn from one another. She finds teaching especially rewarding, as students’ enthusiasm and excitement make every session engaging and enjoyable.
She is passionate about helping kids gain confidence in math and believes that learning should always be interactive and meaningful. Alyssa enjoys finding creative ways to make math concepts easier to understand and fun to explore.
Marques has a deep passion for math and enjoys exploring, creating, and solving mathematical concepts. He believes that math should be fun and strives to help students connect with it by breaking down complex ideas into simpler steps.
As Chess Club Leader, he also integrates logic, strategy, and problem-solving into his teaching. Beyond math, he enjoys computer science and practicing new languages. Marques loves working with students and instructors to cultivate curiosity and critical thinking in both math and chess.
To Noah, math is the universal language of the cosmos, and he finds immense joy in sharing that language with students. As a Mathnasium instructor, he is passionate about guiding students through their mathematical journey, helping them develop skills, confidence, and an appreciation for how incredible math truly is.
He enjoys creating an environment where students can see math’s beauty and real-world relevance. Whether working through a challenging problem or celebrating a breakthrough moment, Noah is excited to help students discover the magic of mathematics.
Maria has always loved math for the challenges and rewards it brings. She understands that patience and practice are essential to mastering difficult concepts and is passionate about helping students develop these skills. She enjoys finding creative ways to make math more engaging and accessible, ensuring that students build both understanding and confidence.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in mechanical engineering and a strong passion for mathematics and STEM education. He enjoys working with students one-on-one, helping them overcome challenges and reach their math goals.
The most rewarding part of his job is seeing students master concepts they once struggled with and develop newfound confidence in their abilities. Matt believes that math is a powerful tool for understanding the world and is excited to help students discover its real-world applications.
