Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Round Rock East

Iris

Iris is a graduate of The University of Alabama and has worked with fortune 500 companies in Northern California and Washington state before relocating to Austin, TX. As a child she was terrified of math and would "hide" from taking advanced math classes because her confidence in math was so low. She now realizes that the problem was not her math skills, but it was the way math was presented to her. Iris loves connecting with students and observing the instruction room. Her biggest joy at work is seeing the progress of the students and the satisfaction this brings to the parents.

Joe

Joe joined the Mathnasium team in the Fall of 2021. He graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He brings 16 years of Leadership experience in the retail and restaurant industries. He was a Multi-Unit leader for both a top grocery retailer and the fastest growing restaurant chain in the US. Joe has an incredible passion for developing others and helping them maximize their own potential. He has coached youth baseball/softball and also coached his daughters in soccer. He is excited to be able to serve the community through helping change the lives of students through math.

Jodi

Jodi has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Math from Hope College and graduated with her secondary teaching certificate. She also has a Master’s degree in Math Education and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. Jodi has been teaching for 20 years and has taught all levels from 8th grade math to IB math studies. Jodi is also a certified gifted instructor. Jodi loves to teach and tutor because she loves to see the sense of great achievement when a student grasps a difficult math concept! She also believes that every student can succeed and excel with the proper tools and support.

Lauren

Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree focused on Mathematics Education and Psychology. She has mastered math skills in the areas of College Algebra, Calculus I – Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics I & II. Lauren developed a passion for math education during her first two years of high school, and it continued throughout her college years. She believes that math is meant to be challenging and enjoyable, not frustrating and scary. Since starting at Mathnasium in 2011, she has enjoyed the continued success of her students and inspiring them to love math as much as she does.
