Nathan holds a B.S. in Business and Information Systems from the University of Southern California and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the computer and biotech industries. He also co-founded a music learning app company and has been a dedicated contributor to local education, serving on the school board at his daughter's school in Burlingame.
As a parent and community leader, Nathan is passionate about building strong academic foundations and fostering lifelong learning. At Mathnasium, he is committed to creating a supportive space where students can build confidence in math and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Small Business Management from San Francisco State University. After two decades as a software engineer, including her most recent role at IBM, she shifted focus toward education after seeing the positive impact Mathnasium had on her own children.
As both a parent and educational advocate, Jennifer is passionate about helping students gain confidence and achieve success through math. She believes in the power of a strong foundation and strives to make math both meaningful and fun for every learner.
AJ graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. A longtime resident of the Bay Area and graduate of Burlingame High School, he originally joined the Mathnasium team in 2016 and returned in 2023 as Center Director in San Bruno.
With a passion for education and strong local ties, AJ is dedicated to supporting students in building both math skills and confidence. He values Mathnasium’s structured approach and enjoys helping students discover their own paths to success.
Byung is a Philosophy major at San Francisco State University and has years of experience tutoring math in a variety of settings, including school clubs, learning centers, and private tutoring. Having once struggled with math himself, Byung brings empathy and encouragement to his students’ learning journeys.
He is passionate about helping students overcome math anxiety and build deep understanding through clear, supportive instruction. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys model building, tabletop games, and singing with the Skyline College Choir.
Faye is currently a junior at Mills High School, where she enjoys studying math, chemistry, and history. She loves helping others learn and brings both enthusiasm and patience to every session.
In her free time, Faye enjoys baking, watching sitcoms, and spending time with her friends and cats. She also loves reading and taking long walks, especially when she’s reflecting on the latest math problems she’s solved!
