Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Santa Teresa

Sebastian

Sebastian graduted from Oak Grove High School and plans to study Literature or English in college. Teaching has always been a true passion for him, and he loves tutoring students in math specifically. Outside working at Mathnasium, you can find Sebastian playing badminton, watching K-Dramas, or reading a novel.

Michael

Michael is a Freshman at San Jose State University studying Biological Sciences with a concentration on Physiological Systems. It's always been Michael's goal to become a pediatrician and joined the Mathnasium team to gain experience working with younger people. Michael enjoys giving a helping hand and loves to do math. Other than that, Michael enjoys playing video games, reading manga, and hanging out with friends.

Livia

Livia is a junior at Branham High School. Her love for teaching kids and passion for math makes tutoring at Mathasium the perfect fit. She loves making math fun by turning problems into engaging games. Outside of work, Livia can be found playing volleyball, thrifting, or hanging out with friends.

Cindy

Cindy is a senior at University Preparatory Academy and enjoys helping children in their educational journey. She has been working since Winter 2022. She has previously tutored children at her middle school and during summers at Seven Trees Library. She enjoys reading and gaming in her free time.

Christine

Christine is a sophomore at University Preparatory Academy who enjoys math as her favorite subject and has a soft spot with children. She strives to assist kids to enjoy and excel in math at Mathnasium. In her free time, she likes reading, gaming, and eating delicious food!

Shreeya

Shreeya is a high school senior who is looking to pursue business administration and computer science. In her free time she loves to crochet and paint! Being the president of her own chapter of UNICEF at her high school, she is passionate about children’s education which what makes her love her job at Mathnasium.

Ayaan

Ayaan Vaswani a Senior at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose. Ayaan loves to teach kids math, as he understands how important math is to a student’s academic journey. Transforming a begrudging experience into something kids look forward to is incredibly important to him, as he understands first hand the stress of struggling in subjects like math. In his free time, he loves to go to the gym, play basketball, run, and do photography.

Anirudh

Anirudh is a senior at Evergreen Valley High School with an interest in Math and Mechanical Engineering. He loves working with kids and he joined the team because he loves teaching math. Outside of Mathnasium, Anirudh spends his time in the robotics club, playing pickleball, and hanging out with friends.

Ariana

Ariana is a sophomore at Silver Creek High School. She loves teaching math because of the various ways to approach and solve problems, making it always interesting. Most of all Ariana is very passionate about making a positive difference for the students at Mathnasium. In her free time Ariana loves to play tennis, cook, and shop a lot!

Gargi

Gargi is a senior at Santa Teresa High School with a specific interest in math and computer science. She loves teaching kids and math, and she joined the Mathnasium team because she wanted to gain more experience with working with kids, and it seemed like a perfect fit! Outside of teaching kids, Gargi loves reading, watching TV shows, and shopping!

Anvay

Anvay is a sophomore at Silver Creek High School and is currently taking AP Calculus AB. He enjoys assisting students in math and has previously tutored at his school. He has been working at Mathnasium since June 2023. Anvay's future goal is to become a teacher, and in his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing basketball.

Aida

Aida graduated from University Preparatory Academy. She likes math because it's challenging and fun to work through problems. Aida enjoys working with Mathnasium, she can work with children and have fun! Outside of Mathnasium, she likes to draw anime characters!

Sekhar Potluri

Sekhar has always loved math and enjoys being around kids and helping them learn and enjoy math. He has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and spent 18 years in IT, Retail Management, and other business ventures, but he always wanted to spend the rest of his life doing what he loves the most: teaching children. Mathnasium provided the perfect opportunity to pursue his passion, and he now owns four Mathnasium centers. He believes that the Mathnasium method of teaching math can change a child’s attitude towards math and help develop a deep understanding of number sense. Sekhar and his team at Mathnasium of Santa Teresa are committed to helping children grow their interest and confidence in math and are very proud to bring the Mathnasium Method to your children in South San Jose.
