Ella

Instructor

Ella is a freshman at Desert Mountain High School with a strong enthusiasm for learning, especially math. She enjoys helping her peers develop their math skills and feels excited to be a part of their academic growth at Mathnasium. 

When she’s not studying or tutoring, Ella loves playing tennis, reading, and listening to her favorite music, especially hits from the ’70s and ’80s. Her thoughtful and encouraging approach helps make math fun and accessible for every student she works with. 

David

Instructor

David is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University and has a passion for both math and teaching. He thrives on helping students master new concepts and build confidence, always making learning engaging and rewarding. 

Beyond his studies, David enjoys watching baseball, working out, and coaching wrestling at McClintock High School. With six years of wrestling experience himself, he brings discipline and energy to his tutoring sessions and is excited to help students unlock their full potential in math. 

Maria D.

Instructor

Maria is a senior at Chaparral High School who plans to pursue a career in medicine or biology, fields where math plays an essential role. She enjoys supporting students in building their math confidence and understands how these foundational skills impact future success. 

Outside of academics, Maria is creatively inclined. She plays both the clarinet and tenor saxophone and enjoys painting in her free time. One of her dreams is to visit Spain. Through her role at Mathnasium, Maria hopes to inspire a love of learning while helping students grow their math abilities. 

Maya

Instructor

Maya is a senior at Xavier College Preparatory (XCP) who brings great energy and enthusiasm to helping students succeed in math. She loves the challenge and creativity that math offers and is excited to help students build their skills, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for the subject.

Outside of school and tutoring, Maya enjoys reading and going on runs with her mom. A fun fact—her favorite movie is Tangled! She’s thrilled to be part of the Mathnasium team and looks forward to making math a fun and rewarding experience for every student.

Cole B.

Instructor

Cole is a junior at Arizona State University, majoring in Applied Mathematics. With a deep passion for math and data, he enjoys exploring complex problems and developing AI data models.

Originally from Cleveland, OH (go Browns!), Cole is always ready to bring his analytical mindset to help students succeed in math. In his free time, he loves listening to his favorite band, Cold War Kids. Cole is excited to help students strengthen their math skills and develop a love for problem-solving!

Reed B

Instructor

Reed is a junior in high school with a love for math and a unique journey that’s taken him from Florida to California, Texas, Utah, and now Arizona! He previously worked as a Mathnasium instructor in Florida and is excited to bring his experience and enthusiasm to students here in AZ.

Reed enjoys helping students build confidence in math and tackle challenges with a positive mindset. He's thrilled to continue making math fun and rewarding for learners of all ages.

Grant B

Instructor

Grant is a passionate mathematics instructor at Mathnasium in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he combines his love for teaching with his dedication to helping students succeed in math. Originally from Florida, Grant and his twin brother Reed both moved to the area, bringing their expertise to the local community. As a tutor, Grant specializes in a range of math topics, from elementary through advanced levels, and is especially experienced in supporting students with homeschooling and personalized learning needs.

Outside of his math expertise, Grant is a huge pizza fan, enjoys the colorful sweetness of Skittles (which he’d happily call a meal), and spent 8 years playing piano. He loves relaxing in La Paz, Mexico, his favorite vacation destination. His passion for both teaching and mathematics makes him an inspiring educator who truly understands the needs of each student. Whether it’s for math tutoring, homeschooling support, or enrichment, Grant is dedicated to helping students build confidence and excel in math. Grant loves to tutor and is a transfer from another Mathnasium. We are so happy to have him be part of our team in Scottsdale, Arizona


Caden T.

Instructor

Caden is a student at Pinnacle High School with a passion for math and problem-solving. He plans to pursue a degree in engineering, where he can apply his analytical skills to real-world challenges.

In his free time, Caden enjoys solving puzzles, gaming, and biking. He is excited to help students develop their math skills and confidence, making learning both engaging and rewarding!

Micaela H

Instructor

Michaela is a senior at Chaparral High School with a calm and steady approach to learning. She enjoys helping students feel confident and comfortable with math, creating a supportive environment where they can thrive.

Outside of school and tutoring, Michaela plays flag football, enjoys going to the gym, and likes studying French. She brings a quiet enthusiasm to everything she does and is always ready to help students succeed.

Zach Z

Instructor

Zach is a high school student at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy with plans to study economics in college. He is passionate about learning and always enjoys supporting and helping students build their math skills and confidence.

In his free time, Zach enjoys working out, drawing, sculpting, and cooking. He is excited to share his enthusiasm for math and create a positive, encouraging learning environment for all students!
