Emma-Cate Miller

Assistant Center Director

Emma-Cate graduated from John Tyler Community College (Brightpoint) with a 3.96 GPA and highest honors in the Math/Science major. Mathnasium is a perfect fit for Emma-Cate because she experienced its transformative power firsthand—joining in 6th grade with a 3rd-grade math level and advancing five grade levels in just two years, ultimately achieving straight A's throughout high school! Outside of Mathnasium, Emma-Cate loves spending time with her parents over dinner and enjoys reading books and watching Chinese movies to maintain her fluency in both English and Chinese.

Henry Harris

Assistant Center Director

Henry completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at Virginia Tech. Outside of the center, Henry enjoys movies, weight lifting, and video games like Stellaris and Satisfactory. He can also Mongolian Throat Sing and wants to learn how to play the guitar!

James Temple

CEO

James developed a passion for and proficiency with Mathematics during his middle and high school years. In 2000, James graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Mathematics and a love for solving all types of problems. He took those skills into the United States Air Force where he served for 7 years as an aircraft maintenance officer. It was during these years that James had the opportunity to tutor home schooled children and really started to appreciate the frustration that many kids feel towards Mathematics. James left the Air Force in 2007 to go back to the University of Virginia where he received his Master's of Business Administration degree from the Darden School of Business.

Our Mathnasium Mission
