Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Rishitha

Lead Instructor

Rishitha is a student at Evergreen Valley High School who loves working with kids and helping them master challenging topics. She volunteers as a tutor through various programs and also teaches Speech & Debate.  

Passionate about education, she enjoys making learning more accessible and engaging for students. In her free time, Rishitha loves reading, watching basketball, and spending time with friends. She is excited to support students on their math journey and help them build confidence at Mathnasium!

Duc

Lead Instructor

Duc is a Mathematics major in the Integrated Teacher Education Program at SJSU. With years of experience as a personal tutor and Mathnasium instructor, he loves sharing his passion for math and helping students see its real-world applications. He believes that making math relatable enhances students' enthusiasm and enjoyment.  

Outside of teaching, Duc enjoys tennis, video games, running, and spending time with cats. His favorite number is 2—its symmetry is especially satisfying! He looks forward to helping students build confidence and develop a deeper appreciation for math.

Bryan

Lead Instructor

Bryan is a Computer Engineering student at San Jose State University with a passion for both math and teaching. Inspired by the mentors who helped him grow, he is dedicated to giving back by helping students excel in math. In addition to Mathnasium, he has tutored at Math Master Academy, Read Write Discover, and the Berryessa Branch Library.  

Outside of tutoring, he enjoys volunteering at Mini Cat Town, practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and watching anime. Bryan is excited to support students in building confidence and mastering math concepts.

Ryan

Lead Instructor

Ryan is a senior at Evergreen Valley High School with a deep passion for math and its real-world applications. He sees himself as a lifelong student of mathematics and enjoys exploring new concepts. Having experienced the ups and downs of learning math, he strives to use his knowledge to help others succeed.  

Ryan enjoys playing music, volunteering in his community, and finding ways to grow and improve. He is excited to support students on their math journey and help them build confidence in their skills.

Olivia

Instructor

Olivia is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School currently taking AP Calculus AB. A longtime math enthusiast, she hopes to inspire students at Mathnasium to develop the same love for the subject. She has experience tutoring at the library and working with students at camps.  

Outside of Mathnasium, Olivia enjoys playing the cello and drums, badminton, basketball, and cooking. She is excited to help students build confidence and succeed in math!

Lori

Instructor
Lori is currently a sophomore at Evergreen Valley High School and she is currently taking Pre-Calculus and will pursue higher levels of math in the near future. Lori has built a solid foundation in math through doing singapore math since elementary school and works towards helping children overcome roadblocks in math and also build a solid foundation for them as well. Outside of school, Lori is the event coordinator of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a non-profit organization for blood cancer. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, bari sax, badminton, volunteering, and watching kdramas.

Joshua

Instructor
Joshua is a junior at Silver Creek High with 5 years of math tutoring experience. His enthusiasm for learning and passion for helping classmates inspired him in 6th grade to begin his own private tutoring service. Joshua uses his experience and deep understanding of math to engage each student, develop conceptual fluency, and build confident learning skills. Outside of tutoring, Joshua enjoys creating and exploring media in areas such as motion design, digital art, and photography. He believes in the importance of uplifting community and personal development.

Anjali

Instructor
Anjali is a rising senior at Evergreen Valley High School. She recently completed AP Calculus AB and will be taking AP Statistics in the fall. Anjali knows the importance of mathematics in school and outside of school, and she aims to show students that math can be interesting and fun here at Mathnasium. She has experience teaching and tutoring through volunteering at local schools and other organizations. In her free time, Anjali loves to read, play badminton, and travel.

Adwin

Instructor
Adwin is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School where he is currently pursuing AP Calculus AB and has completed AP Statistics previously. He is very passionate about math and loves working with kids. Working with Mathnasium has allowed him to do what he enjoys most: helping kids learn and enjoy math. He has plenty of experience teaching younger kids as he volunteers with a non profit organization to teach basic java and python. Adwin is one of the top ranked badminton players in the nation for his age group. He is an avid biker and enjoys dancing, and listening to music in his free time.

Kevin

Instructor
Kevin is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley. His passion for teaching math comes from the tutors and teachers that helped him succeed in his previous math classes, such as AP Calculus AB & BC. As a result, he is committed to teaching people of all ages, from preschoolers to university students, and ensuring they succeed. He has gained experience tutoring by helping children with their homework at a local library, as well as assisting his peers in his school classes. He is also committed to giving back to the surrounding communities, such as volunteering for a hospital and a local organization that serves those with disabilities. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and taking walks around the neighborhood.

Audrey

Instructor
Audrey is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School and is currently taking AP Calculus BC. Audrey has loved math from a young age and hopes to show students that learning math can be fun and exciting. She has past experience teaching younger students through multiple different science and math nonprofits such as volunteering at Engage STEM as a math tutor and at Explore as a STEM class teacher and hopes to use her knowledge to help students grow. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Nikitha

Instructor
Nikitha is currently a senior at EVHS taking AP Statistics, previously completing AP Calculus AB and BC. Nikitha has worked previously as a math instructor, virtual tutor for 3rd through 6th graders, non profit volunteer, and STEM and technology interactive volunteer. In volunteering with younger kids, Nikitha learned how to keep them engaged, explain concepts in a simple and understandable manner, and how to be patient with kids who learn at different paces. Nikitha has experience in teaching algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and basic functions through volunteering online and has helped students navigate virtual learning tools. She values letting students learn through practice and approaching problems in multiple ways that fit the needs of each individual learner. Through working at Mathnasium, Nikitha enjoys meeting new kids and helping them learn foundational math skills which they can build upon in the future. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, dancing, programming, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog.

Allison

Instructor
Allison is a sophomore at Evergreen Valley High School that is currently taking Precalculus. She has years of experience through participating in Math Olympiad, babysitting, and tutoring children. Outside of school, Allison is the secretary of Red Cross, a club that hosts biannual blood drives and various other events centered around alleviating human suffering. Through Mathnasium, she hopes to teach people to understand and appreciate the benefits of learning new math skills. In her free time, Allison enjoys playing the piano, hiking, traveling, and trying new foods.

Arshia

Instructor
Arshia is currently a senior at Evergreen Valley High School taking AP Statistics. She has taken both AP Calculus AB and BC and pursued further enrichment at Evergreen Valley College and De Anza. At these community colleges, she has taken Multivariable Calculus and Discrete Math. Arshia is treasurer of the Science National Honor Society, a club that provides exposure to fundamental science topics through labs for under-resourced elementary schools. She enjoys fiber arts, playing pickleball and tennis, piano, and game nights in her free time.

Justin

Instructor
Justin is currently a junior at Evergreen Valley High School and is currently taking Calculus AB. He's been deeply interested in math since he was a kid, always going out of his way to learn not how, but why. He's grateful for Mathnasium for giving him the opportunity to share how unique, fun, and deep math gets, no matter what level or difficulty. Justin also really loves listening to jazz and pop rock. For hobbies, he solves Rubik's Cubes as fast as possible and builds gaming computers for him and his friends.
